Federer because even though I am not a fan of his I suppose it would be a special moment to see him win the French finally and I dislike Soderling.

Allez Roger! Make some history, man!

And in the women's final...doesn't matter. I'd rather see Safina win, to legitimate her ranking, I guess. But I also like Svetlana's game. WHoever plays best...I just hope it's not a holdless chokefest.

When did I say that?

I only liked that Nadal lost so that it opened the door for Federer to win his first FO. I couldn't care less who Nadal lost to.

If I did that, it was only because his game was able to spank Nadal. I couldn't care less if he lost in the next round and I thought he would to Davydenko.

both players - whoever wins will deserve it.

however, if soderling wins the french open tomoz then it will go down IMO as the most impressive GS win for a very long time. he will have to beat the ebst two players of all time (nad and fed) and beat other very good players too - davy and gonzo.

if federer wins it won't look too special, because he hasn't beaten the players that are better than him on clay (nadal and djokovic IMO).

i want federer to win to achieve what he deserves - tying sampras record, and winning all 4 majors.

then you have soderling, who hasn't had much success - so i want him to win and win a major.

I thought so, too. So did Roger.
Frankly, I think he will give Roger a really tough match. He clearly has the tools to take it, and the attitude. Magnus Norman will tell him what it's like to be out there in a RG final. He'll still be nervous, but he'll sort of know what to expect.
I just hope RF's experience, agility and fitness can hold up.
I feel Soderling will come out shooting, then settle into the Andrei Medvedev / Martin Verkerk role.

    Allez Roger!

Soderling, b/c he's the underdog. I always root for the underdog. I rooted for Fed in last yrs FO final, but Nadal in the Wimby final.

i hate soderling for beating nadal and while i like federer and would like to see history made,im gonna sound like a real dick here, but i wanna see soderling win so i can see feds expression after blowing prob the only only chance hell ever get at getting the career gs. also even though soderling beat nadal i dont think federer can be considered the goat if he doesnt go through nadal. to be the man you gotta beat the man. at the french

  32. Soderling is the underdog, so I'll root for Soderling.

It would be nice to see Federer win, though......so it's not really important to me who wins......all I want is a good match, better than today's women's final.

I totally agree. I think Federer will have to play at his very best to win tomorrow. Soderling has absolutely nothing to lose and will come out firing on all cylinders. Whereas, I think Federer will be the one that will be more nervous as he knows full well that history is on the line and that this may be his last and only chance to ever win the French Open. Just look at the way he melted down in the Aus Open final this year. And this FO final is magnitudes higher in importance, I would think. This is the title that would make or break his legitimacy to be the sole owner of GOAT status. The pressure on him tomorrow will be immense. I am praying that he will not succumb to this pressure and will handle it like most of his other GS finals.

The crowd will be rooting for him. :)

Federer. Winning this should relieve him from (almost) all pressure regarding tennis. Hopefully he will find himself free, thus playing for fun :) I believe that's the key to his best game.

'SoderJerk'. Or will the headline read, 'Rockin' Robin'?

Depends on the way he behaves today. And the result.

For the record, I'm a fan of the way Federer plays the game, and I am rooting for him. But Soderling gets a lot of credit for elevating his game ... and behaving with more class than ever.

I am torn. I want Fed to win so he can surpass Sampras on my GOAT-list. I want Soderling to win because he is the giant-killer.

But I don't want Fed to cruise to an easy victory because Robin is too nervous.

The pre-Nadal years when Fed won everything easily were boring IMO.

James Blake deserves a few FO titles.

Blake has the perfect game and temperment for it but the Fates conspired against him.
