Torres the 41 year old yank just won silver in the 50m freestyle. Pretty good for an old Lady.

Are you watching the swimming now. In that race the bronze medaist was 16 years only and Torres the silver medalist 41! A 25 year differential, that must be a record for medalists in the Olympics in the same event!

Aus just beat USa in the womens 100m medley relay. Torres almost caught up.

Now Phelps is about to go for his 8th gold in the 100m medley relay

I just saw Phelps win his 8 gold medal and smash the title holder set by Mark Spitz.

    The US is the best.

It's been great to watch Phelps, Torres, Bolt, US gymnasts, and beach volleyball. I'm afraid that next week's events won't be as interesting, but I hope I'm wrong.

Track and Field have some other events coming up, Usian Bolt still have to run the 200m. Also there are the relays and the basketball.

After the volleyball finishes. The volleyballers have the best legs of the whole Olympics. I think I could watch those polish voleyballers jumping all day long:razz:

Emmons CHOKED at the shooting event AGAIN! OMFG!! He had a 4point lead which is huge going into the last shot and just screwed it up bigtime. He is a choker as he did the same thing in 2004...

The Ukrainian guy missed out on the gold by 0.1 points. China's shooter wins the gold....

Usain "lightning" Bolt is in the 200m as well, But I havnt heard that he's in the long Jump. Surely with his height and stride, he'd have to be one of the best long Jumpers if he wanted to jump.

This european handball is exciting. These ladies are fierce and they have great sidesteps, they'd make great rugby players.:)

Too bad NBC decided that it wasn't important enough to televise the gold medal match in tennis.

    Lame.

Both USA men and women, on paper though Dwayne Wade has been the most impressive guy so far on the men's squad.

He had some kind of Achilles injury, seems legit to me. I don't he would just give up if it wasn't serious.
