Why are the commentators *always* standing?

Anybody notice this? Every time I see the commentators on camera with ESPN's coverage, they seem to be standing, I don't think I've seen them sitting down even once.

So what's the deal? Do they not have chairs or are they instructed never to sit down when the camera pans to them? I can't imagine standing for entire evenings while doing commentary.

    Maybe they prefer to stand.

could just be coincidence when they cut the camera to them that they're standing...sometimes when i watch tennis and it's exciting i'm on my feet too...and holding a racquet

  5. Based on what they have to watch sometimes, maybe it's so they don't fall asleep.
