Why Doesn't TW carry Lacoste stuff? I really wanted some tennis shirts like many of the players wear like Andy Roddick, Fabrice Santoro, and many other players. Are you ever going to carry Lacoste tennis clothing?

Lacoste likes to limit the availability of their products in America to high end department stores and their own boutiques these days. The only online places I know that sell their clothing is said department stores and their own online shops.

Why bother sponsoring pro tennis players if the clothing is not available where tennis players shop?

I guess they don't want their clothes to become mainstream.

nah, they have super uber dri clima fit stuff (the shirts gasquet and roddick wear), as well, if you are willing to pay $70 or more for a tennis polo.

A local tennis shop has the shirts Roddick wore last year on clearance for 69.99. What a crap deal. The stuff is nice with quality fabric, but come on. You can get a shirt and shorts for that price from most other brands.

FYI: just like the rest of them, Lacoste is strictly about supply and demand. Why else would you want to buy their simple products??

perhaps TW doesn't want to stock lacoste products, in order to attempt to rid the world of the rich/snobby tennis player stereotype?

aaaah, I can only hope

I own three Lacoste Sport polos that are made of 100% polyester - so, I guess you really don't know what you're talking about...

Why is it that TW only answers the threads that they feel like answering...?

Probably because this question has been asked a few times before and the answer is still the same. See the first reply to the OP.

About 10 years ago the Lacoste family bought back all rights to the clothing line from Izod , their former distributer. At that time they announced in the press that it would be an exclusive brand to be sold only at highend stores.

Lacoste is not willing to deal to make up for the bad exchange rate - so it is really pricy in the US.

I don't like their stuff anyway. I put it up there with Polo: shouldn't be worn on court. Again, just my opinion.
