Why is the French Open so late this year?

It seems that the French Open this year is one week later than usual? Usually Nadal celebrates his birthday during the course of the FO itself but not this year.

    Any idea why?

His birthday is next Sunday, right in the middle of the tournament.

I thought there was a slight shift in the schedule this year due to the Olympics.

Due to the improper quote tags, looks like you are talking to yourself, batz.
