Wilander did play great here
this RG 1988 was probably the 1st time i saw "jeans-agassi" on TV...
funny clip. he was grunting a lot in that match !
amazing..agassi just turned 18yrs old and wilander was the old guy at 23.
Wilander was a great runner
Thanks for the link. First time to see Agassi play volley and overhead so much and well.
Agassi was a big fighter but in this match wilander had better stamina.
I don't remember Wilander ever getting tired in a match. He probably did I suppose.
No i dont think he ever go tired.
I would ban the grunting on the court.
What a class difference between wilander and the punk caricature agassi was at early career.
This was a great match!
Andre at a young age already had brutal groundies. Wilander was great at absorbing that power though, must be the coke
Wilander had a real great sliced backhand in 88 and he served very well
Showed that placement can be just as effective as power.
C'mon. Agassi was young and perhaps a bit undisciplined then. Cut him some slack.
He seemed to get tired or something in the 1985 U.S. Open semifinal loss to McEnroe. He should have won that.
