Hi so I wanted to ask you guys if you guys think federer will get a new racquet next year as a replacement for ps 90 he uses right now.
Somehow, my coach taught me eastern forehand grip and eastern onehanded backhand when I first started tennis forever ago and I happen to feel comfortable using the sticks Roger federer uses/used.
So, I'm thinking about getting ps 90 for my new set of racquets, but I am willing to use my old ps85 if and only if there will be new racquet from Wilson made for federer. Any ideas?

FYI, I'm a ntrp 5.0 player and really love the white ph on the ps 90!!
Can't wait to get my new racquets!!

Don't know if he will, but he definitely needs to go to a larger head and full poly...his only chance to keep up...

Most probably the same custom mold he has used since he turned pro with the appropriate paint job. Most pro's don't change racquets on a whim, there has to be a compelling reason to do so. Do you really think that Wilson would ask him to change a racquet he's won 16 majors with?

He will get a new paint job, but not until January of 2014. Wilson seems to have a two year cycle of introducing new technologies so that we can feel that we need something new. Just demoed the latest one myself, though, and will probably buy it. My KPS 88s are just a little too much to serve with by the third set.

why don't you just switch to new prostaff federer or even new prostaff 95 ? those are much more user friendly and easy to swing even if you are tired.

That is what I just demoed, along with the Prestige Mid. I wanted the same feel in a slightly easier to swing frame, and the new BLX Prostaff 90 seems to deliver. The Prestige was a fine frame two, but the grip was more of a change than I wanted to deal with. It would have had to be a clearly superior frame to switch to it. May try a few others first, though.

Oops! The Prestige was a fine frame too. And I take a great deal of pride in getting those right.

Global recession means plenty of discounting.

I just ordered one Saturday, as a result of the aforementioned demo, and it was delivered on the day the price was dropped. Timing was never my strong suit.
