    i upload tennis matches that I downloaded for free. Could i be in trouble for not buying the video and uploading it on my youtube account. Just wondering. Thankyou.

    hehehe, you don't even know my IP address. Seeing as im on a completely different computer. Nice try though. Even if i was on my own computer - you still wouldn't find out my IP. You probably don't even know what an IP is.

    It depends on the source of the video. If the source is copyrighted then technically you could get in trouble. You won't but you could. If, for example, the video were of you shooting your TV, I don't believe this violates copyrights. Not sure though. If there was a violation You Tube will merely ask you to remove the questionable material, or will do so themselves.

    Any independently created work is automatically the creator's independent copyright and intellectual property. They don't have to do anything special to enable this 'right'.

    The only question is whether the copyright holder will know about the Youtube video. If they do, their issue is with Google not you, because it's on Google's website. Youtube will just have to remove the video. You're not going to get fined.
