What do you think? Will Nadal end up winning more points than Federer?

How many titles do you see Nadal winning?

Nadal could be at 100+ right now if he had played all those smaller clay tournaments. He should retire with 100+ though over the next 4-5 years.

He may have more than Connors. Can amass another 30 clay titles and 10+ HC titles.

I said this the other day, he will soon pass Fed in major count, already has him in Masters, and he will probably win a few more Monte Carlos, and I think he should start racking up Acapulcos now :)

    My guess is 90-100

Definitely not out of reach now. Still a way to go but doable.

It's also worth mentioning that the majority of Nadal's titles come at the biggest events; a significant portion of Federer's titles come at ATP 250 tournaments.

You my friend are being too extreme now. Enough with the Rafa threads. Save it when he wins the AO 2014.....OK

Nadal is the man of 2013, the player everyone wants to talk about. Nobody is saying anything about the ridiculous amount of diarrhoea McEnroeisanartist is defecating all over GPPD- how many threads do you think he has created devoted to Federer alone?

I voted no. Nadals body and motivation is the X factor. If he can manage both his body and motivation, maybe, but there's still a lot to win as he ages.

17 titles will take 3-4 years meaning 4-5 titles per year.

I would say it is reachable.

I think it's likely. He seems subscribed for 3-5 clay 500-1000's plus RG per year. All he has to do is stay healthy/take sabatticals for couple more years. His opposition is getting weaker all the time too. He's a lock for it.

it's very possible since each year he uses to win nearly every title on clay

federer could increase his number of titles though, if he decided to play mickey mouse tournaments like
    Newport
    Bogota
    St. Petersburg
    etc.

not sure he would have beaten Karlovic in Bogota though...

He has the talent but I believe that his body might give out before he has the opportunity.

Maybe but Federer will keep increasing it here and there so my vote is maybe not.

I don't think Federer playing smaller ATP 250 tournaments (or perhaps even Futures or Challengers) would result in much success for him. He couldn't beat Brands or Delbonis in Hamburg (ATP 500) and Gstaad (ATP 250). He seems very vulnerable in those tournaments- everyone remembers his loss to Montanes in straight sets at Estoril 2008 (ATP 250).

I thought about what u just wrote, thats why i deliberately didn't mention mickey mouse tournaments like Casablanca or Bucarest, because they are on clay.
Bogota for example is on a very fast surface, if Roger would play it in year 2014 and not win, I would laugh out very loud
