This is a hilarious thread. I was meaning to say something nasty, but since nadalgirl sounds like she is a starstruck 12-yr-old, I shall refrain from doing so.

    Grow up nadalgirl...

And oh, TennisDog: you are a moron and are an embarassment to Nadal fans (ref: your earlier super-idiotic threads).

okay... well since this post isnt necessarily limited to single grand slam wins then............

to get to 47... he better team up with federer for male doubles, team up with one of the Chinese girls or venus williams for mixed doubles ... that will give him 3 chances to get a slam win per grand slam

If you think nadalgirl is nutty trust me there are many more disillusioned fanatical morons out there who support Nadal.

But seriously, I can see Rafael grabbing a couple more French titles but despite his ability to play on grass....really he was taken to 5 sets + match point by a person who got bageled by a Scot recently. He's defintely a contender for the Wimby title but as long as Roger Federer spokes are rolling I don't see Nadal holding that trophy with his filth red clayey hands:mrgreen:
As for the U.S open and Australian open....I can't tell now.

Nadal has 2 majors so far and he may never win Wimbledon or a hard court major. Nadal might finish at 5 majors if he's lucky (all French) and I have a feeling he won't even reach that number.

nadalgirl26 you've certainly broken the record for lamest thread started...so to add to this sarcasm, since federer owns 3 of the past 4 slams, he will win wimbledon, the us open, and the australian open for the next 15 yrs...so 45 slams there plus 8 he already has...so 53 total??????

you seriously are a mental case if you think he will win 47.....

He will win no more French Opens when Puerta and Coria come back.

He will win 1 more Wimbledon and 1 more Aussie Open.

He won't win USO, Blake, Fed and other players are in his way.

So I think that equals 4, not 47

    I'll answer your question.

Nadal's techinque is terrible and will cause injuries to him at one point or another. His relience on pure arm power for his strokes, and relying on pure footwork to win his games will eventually break his body. There is nobody that could keep that up, not even the invincible supermen Lendel and Vilas.

His playing style is too physcially demanding. When he gets to 25, injuries will plague him. He's only 20 and it's already starting to plague him. If he's still in the top 20 at 30yrs old, I will be surprised.

If he wins all those grand slams he'd be in a wheelchair. 2 of 3 US Open, Wimby and Aussie Open. you've got to be kidding.

BTW. Even Nadal would think you're stupid for thinking he's gonna win 47 grand slams.

Nadal will never win 47 slams....Fed wil win over 500 (ala Feds 2,3,&4, his clones). John Yuri Roddick will be able to fend off Fed 2 but will fail to live up to the hype.

    Ahh...old threads

I give Nadal no more than 4 slams within the next 3 or 4 years....
unlike Federer's, Nadal's game is to physically demanding and not as technical, and he makes a bigger effort in every match...
like we have seen in other players (like Hewitt, Chang, etc) once they get a little slower or losse a little strength his game is no longer dangerous (they lose at semis, don't get to the final)...
I think Nadal is an amazing player, he could beat any other player in the history of tennis (al least on clay) the way he is playing rigth now...if it wasn't for Federer, he (Nadal) would be #1 no doubt...but he won't be able to keep that level for more than 3 or 4 more years (wich is still great)....

Nadal's odds of never winning a major again are better than Nadal winning 47 majors. It's safe to say that no player will ever win 47 majors and before you doubles advocates jump in, I'm talking about singles only.

you know, i was having a pretty dull day . . . not feeling very motivated or inspired . . . and then i ran across this thread. what can i say? you can always count on a nadalgirl26 thread to inspire some of the wittiest replies on the forum. her threads may not be worth much, true. but for comedic value, they CANNOT BE BEAT! so i gotta give her props for that. she truly inspires (the joker in all of us). and the world needs laughter so badly.

i noticed she hasn't come back for the last few pages (probably taking a much deserved break until her next priceless thread), but i guess this is as good a time as any to mention that i awarded nadalgirl26 the grand prize for "silliest thread of the fortnight" (during this wimbledon past). her "This was Roger's last ever slam title or win over Rafa!!" thread was a true classic, in the proud nadalgirl tradition. she actually had three threads in my top 10 during wimby, and that was just during two weeks. there's real talent there, folks. recognize.

i was gonna let the whole "silliest thread" thing lie, but i was nominating a lot of threads last month (there were some real crackers)! having given it some thought, i was gonna be grown up about it and forget the whole silly mess . . . not try to be clever . . . not be rude or cynical . . . not poke fun at my fellow human beings . . .

what can i say. i'm petty. i'm weak. i'm sorry.

but after reading this thread, i felt . . . inspired.

You are a stupid girl. Do you know how difficult it is to win a Slam? This is why men don't understand women. Your rationale is beyond logic. Your reasoning is only intelligible to others of your sex.

I just can't see Nadal winning Wimbledon while Federer is around. Besides, Nadal's playing style will take its toll and he will miss few slams in the future because of those injuries. I won't deny that he won't win French anymore, but I doubt he'll win 20 hard court slams! Yes, he will probably win a few, but not 20. there's a good reason why the slam record is 14. One has to play very very well to win a slam, play his best. And it's not possible every time.
