There is a place where only the tennisgods go to.

It is an exclusive place, with only 5 players who made it there. There is no Pete Sampras, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Jimmy Connors, John Mcenroe or Monica Seles.

Will Roger join Don Budge, Maureen Connolly, Rod Laver, Margaret Court and sit next to Steffi Graf on the Grandslam table.

That's going to be one party and only the tennislegends are invited.

    Don Budge Maureen Connolly
    Rod Laver Margaret Court
    Steffi Graf Roger Federer?

One slam at a time my friend.I think he rather be the 6th man to have all 4 majors, thats an accomplishsment in itself, not even Connors, Mcenroe, Lendl, Borg, and Sampras have held all 4 and those are some awesome names.

Friend, I really believe Roger wants to take his place next to Steffi. It has been on his mind since the AO.

I don't think 4 in a row matters to him as much as winning all 4 Slams eventually. He figures this year might be one of his best shots, because who knows if he'll get injured in the future.

And Rod Laver is in a special category. Winning the calendar Grand Slam twice. And in between, didn't he take a break? He won the Grand Slam, went away, then came back and won it again, right?

federer has this to do this year, it is possible. he can win his first french, in the process of completeing 4 slams in a row since wimbledon, in the process of attaining a career slam, and his 8th major.

then he has the chance to take wimbledon and us, which would make 6 slams in a row, and a calander year slam in the process of a career grand slam and resulting in 10 slams overall. this would be tremendous!!! tennis god forever if he does it.

Nice pics, I had no idea the don budge guy was so skinny. And I'd rather roger win 2 french opens in his career preferably spread as far apart as possible, rather than having only 1 french open as part of a grand slam. You know every naysayer will add fuel to the fire and go oh well everybody's intimidated no challengers the level of competition was terrible if he does a grand slam.

The Grand Slam is the highest award in tennis: Roger wants it. For Laver winning it twice was in an era, many matches were played only on grass, and a lot of the good men didn't appear: amateur/professional era, notwithstanding that it is a great feat. Steffi Graf is the only one of the lot who won the matches on 4 different surfaces: rebound ace, gravel, grass and hardcourt + winning the Olympics.

I really believe it's going to happen. I also have the feeling that somehow Nadal isn't going to make the final. Hope I am right about Roger. Steffi has an empty seat, she is the boss though there, with the Golden Grand slam.
