I found this racquet at my house, it belongs to my father when he bought it in the 80s. Its called the Wilson Avenger, but i have no clue about the specs because it dosent have any specs printed on the frame. Does anyone know the specs and if its a decent players racquet?

    Here are the pics:

I found the following specs and info, and I was wondering if they are for this particular "Wilson Avenger" racket (as seen in JB's pictures above):

    Wilson Avenger 350/12.35/49/324
    http://woodtennis.com/rdc.txt

    Avenger 95 50-60; 16x18; H; 7T, 9T & 8H; 7H; ONE PIECE: 35' 6"; 9' 9"; 8H; 7T; 6T; TWO PIECE: 19' 6" x 16'; 8H; 7T; 6H, 6T
    http://www.sptennis.com/patterns/PatternWilson.html

There's not much information to be found on the net regarding the Avenger and I'm a bit confused as to how many versions there are. From pictures I know there's a cheaper K-mart version (orange, 90s?), and the one above. But I read comments about Wilson Midsize 85, Wilson Avenger 95, Wilson Avenger 110. Which is which?

I know there is a white version in 93 headsize because I have a new one.

I cannot remember the name of the book written by Vic Braden (sp?). On the cover, he was holding a white Avenger. I can look it up because I have the book at home.

    So there is:

    - Wilson Pro Avenger 93: the white racket, lesser version but same shape as ProStaff. Most of the info on this board on the "Avenger" is in reference to this racket.

    - Wilson Avenger Midsize: grey racket in pictures above, which is also the one I got now. It's 16x19, and recommended tension range is 65-70 lbs. Does anyone have more info/specs on this one?

    - Wilson Avenger Mid Plus: economy racquet from 90s; pictures in this thread.

    - And then there are references to the Wilson Avenger 110 and the Avenger 95. See here.

I have one too! I play with it very often, i love that frame!
On beam side of mine it's not written "graphite composite"
    but only "graphite"

I had two of those Avengers before acquiring the org Pro Staff. Must have been in the early-mid 80s. It was a good frame, kind of a tweener of that time.

Hi MrRandom247, I see that you are after the grey Avenger 85 racquet. I am based in Canberra, ACT and have this exact racquet (version with "graphite" written on frame). The only drawback is that the grommet is partially missing and there is a small tear in the cover. I bought this racquet from Germany a while back and have never strung and played with it, because of the missing grommet piece. There are scrapes on the edge of the frame but no cracks. I give it a 7/10 for condition. Please let me know if still interested. Thanks
