I hit with the K90 the other day, and loved it except my shots were not as penetrating (not 3/4 depth, more like 5/8 depth which is like hitting the service line or barely going past it). I loved the racquet compared to my MG Radical Mid+. Which of the three racquets: Wilson Pro Staff 6.1 85| Wilson Pro Staff Tour 90 | Wilson N90 | Wilson K90 has a little more oomph than the K90?:-?

k90 is by far the best biggest sweet spot and easiest to play with, N90 is probably one of the worst racquets i have ever used. tour 90 i heard is alright as well. I like the 6.0 85 the best though.

Hey guys, just asking... the PS Tour 90 was the racquet Fed actually used/is using/PJ back in the older days/ or I have no clue. If someone could tell me that would be great.

No, it was a pj, I own a Tour 90 and the graphite area above the grip and under the throat(don't know what it's called) are not as long as Fed's version.

That is one difference that is easily spotted, I'm sure the string density is a bit different on his also.

No, Fed has been documented via photos using the stock PST90. It's been discussed many times.

OK. Thanks. What are the most playable midsize racquets on the market right now (including the TW POG Mid)?

POG mid, RDS 001, and the ag100. I would throw the k90 in there, bc is I find it fairly easy to play with, but Ive read others have a hard time with it.

Fed used the PST90 when it just came out, but then changed to his custom frame (now the k90).

This has been discussed plenty of times. Fed uses a mystery frame and some would say that it's the k90. It's debatable.

Thats why for skeptics like you I called it a custom frame. :) but you know Im a firm believer that his custom frame has been released as the k90

Are you some blessed individual with inside information? If not, then please don't make end-all/be-all statements about Fed's frame when you're just another internet user giving out his OPINION.

K, thanks.

Actually... sort of, Im saying sort of because the information has not been given to me directly. My uncle knows Jose Higueras, but all he has told him is the amount of lead the adds to his sticks depending on the surface. He claims that on grass fed uses the stock frame with no lead applied. Now that could either be true, or Higueras just trying to promote the stock frae around friends to spread the word.

Hmm, this is totally unrelated to your k90 statement. It's obvious that Fed has custom weighting on his frames, thanks for the extraneous info though.

you asked me if I had an inside source, I guess that sort of counts like one. BTW note he told my uncle that on grass he adds no weight to a stock frame, that could well be a stock k90

So your uncle told you about how he heard Federer has weight customizations on his frames, and that somehow proves without a doubt that Federer uses a retail k90?

Player A customizes his frames, therefore Player A uses X frame. I wonder if this formula works for the other pros?

well he said its a "stock" frame, and the k90 looks and even has the same string pattern as federer's as opposed to previous incarnations. Im saying there is a real good chance it is. BTW I never said its a fact he uses it. I just said I'm a strong believer that wilson released his custom frame. And Higueras says he uses a stock frame I say there is a real good chance he actually sues a k90

The tour 90 is most crisp and closest to the ps85 in terms of feel. I like it a lot. I do not notice a smaller sweetspot than the K90, and, moreover, it is a little easier to swing because of lower SW IMO. Some people say it is too heavy whereas others talk about leading up their frames all the time (like the kblade tour for example). The tour 90 is just perfect stock, no customising! Colours are a lot nicer than K series imo. If you have played PS85 (with a little lead) in the old days than the tour 90 is the perfect frame.

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, I'm only a 14 year old guy who has played for two years who hasn't touched a PS85. I don't know why a midsize racquet should feel so good in my hands. It feels wrong to be playing with such a good racquet for some reason. Was there an Asian PS90? If so, what was the weight? The PS90 is my leading choice, both Asian and Non-Asian versions.

The nCode 90 is more powerful than the K90 or the others. There is a "pop" off of the stringbed of the nCode 90 that is absent from the others.

Yes, there was an Asian version of the PS Tour 90. It was 315g unstrung versus 320g unstrung for the Asian nCode 90 and Asian K90.

That sounds like a good weight. All the manuverability of a Radical with the control and pop of a PS Tour 90. I wish they sold them at TW so I could hopefully win it as a prize in the t-shirt contest.

Since the frames are lighter, they won't have as much "pop" as the US versions.

That's two wishes in a single sentence. Maybe try playing Lotto instead? ;) LOL
