The Prostaff Rok 93 has been my main stick for the past 6 years. My Roks are part of the early batch with "Hyper Carbon Double Braid" on the throat. I've seen a couple posts on here that mention some differences between the first batch of Roks that had "Hyper Carbon Double Braid" on the throat and the later batch that just had "Wilson" on the throat.

Some say the later version was a little lighter & did not play as well. There doesn't seem to be much concrete info on the differences between batches though. Wondering if anyone can shed some light.

    Many thanks,

    Z

I heard that the later version with the silver Wilson on the side is 10g lighter. Not sure about the other differences though.

Played with both "versions"--no meaningful difference in real life.

I have both versions. The first has interchangeable pallets? Do all Roks of the first batch have excangeable pallets?

This is the first I've heard about exchangable pallets...

when my first Rok (Hyper Carbon Double Braid) had to be built up, the only option open to me was using a heat sleeve.

It was a demo; do those have pallets?

i played with both versions and didn´t notice any measurable difference quality-wise.
as far as the weight goes, Wilsons quality control is so bad, all my Roks differ.

Thanks for the info, even though it's not very encouraging :( Will be trying to get a couple Roks matched later this week. Will see what the racket tech says.
