I love the feel and the power that this string provides but the problem with it is that it is not durable enough. It starts fraying rather quickly and after about 15-18 hours of play it's shot. What's a similar string that would be a little more durable? Would you just recommend Reaction 16?

I like Reaction too. It's an under-appreciated string.

Yes, try the 16 gauge. Let us know how you that goes. (What racquet and tension are you using?)

    Good luck.

Liquidmetal Radical MP at 59 lbs. I have not been able to convince myself to upgrade my racquet to a Microgel or Youtek Radical

I've hit with the LM Rad MP and thought it was a very nice stick. Haven't hit with the MG or Youtek.

I'll be interested in your comments about the Reaction 16 in that 18X20 string pattern (if there are any differences).

My local store only stocks 17 so I have to figure out a way of finding 16. If I have to order it online, so be it...

You should just install string savers now, then.

You may save state sales tax ordering it online... You should pay no more than $6.95 a set.
