***Attention: The sign-up for this Playtest Opportunity is now CLOSED. We have all the playtesters we need. All emails have been sent out for those selected for the playtest. Thank you.***

    Attention Talk Tennis Members:

We have another very exciting playtest opportunity for our Talk Tennis members.

We will be sending out a very limited number of Wilson Rush Pro shoes for a playtest (both men's and women's). Playtesters will be responsible for wearing the shoes for the given time and writing a thorough review of the shoes. Playtesters who are picked will be notified via email on March 4 and shoes will be sent out around March 22, 2013. This playtest is for Talk Tennis member in the USA only.

Failure to include ALL correct information in your email will result in exclusion from the selection process.

We select playtesters based on a number of factors, including past performance on playtests and presence on the message board. Due to the very limited number of samples, we will not be able satisfy the large majority of requests. It is absolutely essential that everyone who receives a pair of shoes posts a review.

Your review is due by April 26, 2013.

If you do not post a review or if your review is clearly lacking effort, you will be excluded from future playtests.

Please use the following to write your review:

    Tennis experience/background:
Describe your playing style (i.e. serve & volley):
    Current shoe:
How many hours did you play with the shoe?
    Comments on shoe performance:
    -comfort:
    -arch support:
    -stability/support:
    -ventilation:
    -sole durability:
    -toe durability:
    -traction:
    -weight:
    General reaction/comments on overall performance:

    Thanks,
    TW Staff

PS: We request you not post "Email Sent" posts to this thread. All of those posts will be deleted. Feel free to post questions or comments.

This may seem a bit of a greedy question, but if we wear out the outsole within 6 months, can we still use the guarantee on the shoes if we wear them out within that period and were selected for the playtest?

    Yep.

Think about it this way. If you run a photography website and Nikon sends you a camera to test (and keep), are you going to file a claim for the warranty if it breaks?

Any updates on what color will be sent? I'm going to get some new clothing and want it to be somewhat coordinated so it blends together nicely.

I presume the due date for the review will also be moved back a week, to April 26, right? Or did you edit the original post with the correct date already?

Those are pretty bright, I would say 8+. The playtesters will be receiving the Blue/White version as that is what Wilson sent us.

Compared with my ballistics, I have more ankle support with these. Plus, these have a normal tongue, which I can pull up to make the shoe snug
    [IMG]
These also use nike's ortholite insoles
    [IMG]
Finally, the material below feels rather cheap
    [IMG]

I'll get out on court with them tomorrow

Wow, these shoes are really narrow in the midfoot area. I'm wearing them around the house to get used to them, and will play a league match with them Saturday, but I'm thinking these may be a bit tight around the arch to wear my usual ankle braces and two pairs of socks.

I was only wearing 1 pair of Elites and its not too uncomfortable but it could be a little wider in the midfoot. I have worn them for about 14 hours now. 3 hours of running. 1 hour lifting. The shoes are pretty darn comfortable. Ventilation is so-so. My feet still get burned up after running. ( May not have the same effects as Tennis but i would imagine so. ) Going to courts tomorrow and jotting down notes.

    You mean four?

I've had three hours on court with these since they arrived Monday. Very impressed thus far, they remind me of the Court Ballistec 2.3 as regards cushioning and stability. I tear through shoes and can already tell these are far tougher than Tour Ikons which were abysmal from a durability standpoint.

Tried these on in-store and found the same. That midfoot is like a funnel. The rest of the shoe is so lush and generous, and the midfoot almost is for another type of foot altogether. Shame. So close. Nice looking shoes, I like the white/blue combo.

6 hours of playing in the past 2 days, and mostly good things to report. On the first hit, the sneakers felt stiff, but after a half an hour break in time, they felt fine. One shoe rubbed up on that bone that sticks out of the ankle, and left a little bit of blood, :(, although today it felt better.

I've noticed that the traction is not up to par with my ballistics, and I don't quite feel connected to the court while playing.
So far, the shoes are good, maybe a bit under cushioned, but I do love the fact that they really offer support for the ankle. Tie these once and you are good to go.

    Hi everybody,
First off thank you very much Wilson and Tennis Warehouse for letting me participate in this shoe playtest. This is my first day wearing these and I will post several more updates along with a final review of these shoes within two weeks.

    Day 1:
Okay, so I just got back today been from a vacation and haven't worked out, played tennis, or ate healthy for 4 days so I knew my hitting today was going to be rough. You know that feeling when you think "Why did i go back for thirds on that double chocolate cheesecake?", yeah I'm feeling it now. Anyways I took these shoes out of the box, slipped them right on, and noticed and a snug-like out of the box comfort from these shoes. I went to the courts and hit with my dad for an hour who by the way is a recreational player. My usual hitting partner is my doubles partner but I couldn't get ahold of him today. Even though my dad is just a recreational player he did a good job of making me run around the court, drawing me to the net then lobbing to the baseline and such. These shoes felt amazingly fast and light on my feet and even though of my lack of fitness I was easily getting to every shot comfortably. The Rushes stayed snug and tight the whole time and after an hour they felt even more comfortable, in fact so comfortable that I went to Walmart afterwards without changing shoes and forgot that i was wearing tennis shoes. So far I feel like I've pretty much have broke them in. I'm hitting tomorrow and Monday with them and I also am wearing them to a tournament Tuesday so I will give an update after the tournament!

    Thanks!

Lol, I'm on a flight to MIA from Hawaii and I can't wait to play... But I know it won't be pretty. I even brought rackets, but nobody was "at my level" except the pro who was all booked up... That's what the resort people said!

My mom got home from El Salvador the other day and said the shoes got there right after she got home (Friday)... But I don't land in MIA until 7 am tomorrow... But I'm going to play/train pretty much all day Monday since I don't have school. I'm kinda glad the shoes are narrower in the mid foot since I have narrower feet and I like the extra locked in feel. How do they compare to Propulse 2's because that is almost what they sound like from the description you guys are giving?

So far about 5 hours used on court. Holding up pretty well. Some very light pain in the balls of my feet at times but other than that I haven't found too much things that bugged me.

Finally got back to school and got these in the mail. Out of the box, they feel really supportive. I enjoy the slim fit through the midfoot too. It fits my foot shape well and really feels secure. Supple cushioning in both the heel and forefoot is promising too. I think I'll be able to play some mean tennis in these. Oh, and they don't look half bad either.

Agreed, they have the shape of the Adizero Feather 2 on the foot, but more supportive. 4 hrs of wear, no playing yet. They are becoming less stiff yet just as supportive. I'm playing tonight...

First impressions... Worn them since 8:30 this am, and still wearing them. 1 hour of court time. Fast hard courts. The traction was less than spectacular, but not horrible. I liked the less traction since I will slide a little on hard courts when I get to a drop shot or run out wide... A tiny bit of the rubbing on the inside of my ankle (if you read the B7 customer reviews you will see this) but nowhere near as long lasting (the irritation) as with the B7s. I was wearing one pair of Nike elite socks btw.

    Tennis experience/background:
I was always a Football, Baseball and Basketball Player so I didn't start Tennis until I was around age 40. I'm self taught and a natural athlete, so I caught on quite fast. I learned how to hit heavy Topspin by watching the Pros and then hitting against a wall for an hour.

Describe your playing style (i.e. serve & volley):
I'm a base-liner that uses heavy shots to gain advantage for mid court put aways or at the net finishes. I use my quick reflexes for doubles at the net where I find myself much more in doubles than singles.

    Current shoe:
    Asics Challengers.

How many hours did you play with the shoe?
    25 hours

    Comments on shoe performance:
    -comfort:
Very comfortable for me, no break in required.

    -arch support:
Works well for my feet, no issues.

    -stability/support:
Stable for me and no support issues.

    -ventilation:
It's been around 80 degrees and they do feel a little on the warm side. Could be an issue with our 100 plus summers.

    -sole durability:
So far they look like they will be fairly durable.

    -toe durability:
Not a toe dragger so that's never an issue for me. They seem to have extra rubber there.

    -traction:
We have rough textured courts so traction has been good. Not sure how they would do on Winter Courts.

    -weight:
They are just a little bit heavier than my current shoe, but for some reason feel heavier than the true weight difference.

    General reaction/comments on overall performance:
Over all a good shoe with pricing that's not bad if you can wear them out for the warranty trade in. Now that I'm 55 I'm starting to lean towards lighter shoes for speed, so these would be a little heavier in my size 13's than I would want to use on a daily basis.

Thanks to Tennis Warehouse for the generous opportunity to not only test but to keep these shoes. Much appreciated!

Anyone else noticing the material on the forefoot "catching" against itself. It's happening to me, and the resulting movement makes it feel as if you've just bumped a ball with the inside of the foot.

    Sorry...kind of hard to describe.

Hard to describe:yes... I think I experienced the same. Material near tounge seems to catch side, stick, then release making a slight ticking sound/feel...

    Same situation?
