ok. its real simple. so many people are getting jucie because azarenka and whoever is using it. real simple: the steam is WAY better than the juice. go demo for yourself and if you still think juice is a better racket,well....you suck at tennis:p

Never played this steam (though want to look at the new 99s), but have been very impressed with the J100. Definitely for someone wanting a slight variation or two on the APD or PD.

Agree with poster above about this... great line!... BTW, it's ironic I now use this frame given how I was scathing about pj, marketing, whatever at the start of this thread.

What's weird about it? It's one of the top selling racquets for 2012.
It's a great tweener. Like a PD but more comfortable.

Your argument doesn't hold water because Wilson has marketed the Steam and Juice equally as much. If you like the Steam "way better" than use it. I just got ahold of one so I can do my own comparison. I did notice right off the bat, the Steam feels lighter so I will need to add about 10 grams to get it to match up with my Juice. It's also .25 longer, so maybe that scares some people away? Azarenka did very well with the Juice and that also gave it a lot of positive exposure. The Steam doesn't seem as visible among the Pros as the Juice.

Either way, I think once the new Steam 99 and 99s come out, the Steam 100 will fade into the night.

Zapvor, I don't know how old you actually are, but comments like this one you made above, make you appear very immature...
" real simple: the steam is WAY better than the juice. go demo for yourself and if you still think juice is a better racket,well....you suck at tennis"

I guess Gulbis, Nishikori and Kvitova all "suck at tennis" ? :)

^^ That would be true, but they aren't using a real steam.

Of course we all know that Pro's just use paintjobs for the most part.
I was just poking fun at Zap's remark.

    wilson Blx steam 100

I have two of these racquets. One has the writing wilson on the side of the racquet which mine has also. But my other one hasent got the writing wilson on it. Do you know why??Some one said its just means one of the racquets are the first model and the other one is a series 2 version. The racquet with the writing wilson on the side of the frame plays and feels soo much better than the other one. Which is why Im confused.
Some one also said different country have different paint job? Any help

The original BLX Steam 100 has yellow, and similar to the Juice in paint job. Check out the Wilson website to see the differences.

i don't know if this helps, but the one i have has "BLX" written on the side of the throat in silver against red, and "Wilson" in white against blue. It's identical to what is on Wilson's site (see the 2nd picture and use Zoom): http://www.wilson.com/en-us/tennis/rackets/steam-100-tennis-racket/

No idea why one of yours would have a different paint job, or why the OP's has "Wilson" instead of "BLX" on the side of the throat.

Maybe the ones sold in the USA say Wilson and the ones outside of the USA say BLX? I have no idea.

FWIW, Wilson just released the BLX Envy 100, which looks like the original Steam 100 BLX, but lighter.

Paul the Steam in the Italian video does look different, in fact the graphics on the frame looks badly done. It's probably a prototype frame.

friend of mine had a Steam 100 crack in his hand on the coaching court last night, I heard it (from the next court over)

cracked right through at 4 and 8, no impact marks at all, just died

is this a 'thing'? or a bit of a one off?
