I recently acquired two nice rackets. A Wilson Sting Largehead Oversize new with plastic around handle and a Wilson Sting Midsize in 9/10. The largehead was made in taiwan and the code on the mid is below the W and says LJW. Any info would be appreciated.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

The Sting Highbeam came after the Sting Mid and Largehead, as a lower-end widebody frame with a fondly-remembered name from Wilson's past. (Not unlike the K-Sting, now that I think about it.)

Your Largehead looks like the later Highbeam (the original thin-beam LH had only blue graphics on black; no gray). Your Mid looks like the much-loved original Sting Mid of late 82/early 83, but I can't be sure without seeing its beam thickness.

The oversize is the High Beam Series and the mid is the classic sting.

The three letter code is an tells when the frame was made as I recall from my days in retail in the 1980s.

I thought the position of the code was a little interesting because usually they are above the W not below.
