Here is the USRSA's playtest, in case you haven't seen it yet: http://www.racquetsportsindustry.com/articles/2007/05/wilson_super_spin_16.html.

This string plays softer than any other spin string I have used and imparts good top- and underspin. A problem with all spin strings, though, is that they will eventually lose their texture through use, and so the spin they help generate will decline.

Yep, the texture goes away quickly, and the string doesn't even play that well to begin with. It is relatively soft and stretchy, but has no resilience. I thought it was very non-crisp. You can definitely do better in the spin category, too. I'd go with a more durable thinner gauged string if you are looking for cheap RPMs.

A Wilson string I much prefer to Super Spin is Reaction. I think it is abetter all-around string and gives up absolutely nothing in the way of spin.
