What a fascinating final it was. And what delight for the home crowd to have a British winner. I am a little puzzled by the strange performance of the world number 1, so I am asking what you thought about the final and why Djoker lost.

Here are some of the questions I am asking myself, and you in fact.

    A. Did Murray play at a higher level than in any final before, incl. last years final?

    B. did Djoker play sub par?

    C. Was Djoker too tired to play, and was it wise for him to play at all and ridicule himself?

    D. Was it wise for Djoker to change his usual type of play and use a new tactic just for the final, instead of playing his typical game of heavy baseline bashing?

    E. was it the right tactic for Djokovic to often play back on Murray when he had the whole court open, and usually lose the point?

    F. Seeing his lack of enthusiasm the whole match, even though it was a GS final, should Djokovic retire? Maybe he's had enough of fighting all the time.

In all seriousness, was this match real?

I'm watching the final again on YouTube, and something didn't feel right when I watched it live the first time, but now I am realizing why...

    Go to http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=arnKkG11vv8
And go to 2:00min. Djok hits a very weak volley, very uncharacteristic of him.
At 3:45min, djok hits some very weak and short balls, then somehow he has the whole court open and makes a 4.0 UE down the line....
After only 3 games in 1st set, Djok has made 9 UE (vs 3 for Murray). ... Even the commentators are amazed at this stat... Very strange.

Then Djoker breaks Murray on 4th game very easily, and wins his serve like a piece of cake. (Go to part 2 of the vids).

    TBC....

    Go to Part 2

5th game in 1st set: Djokovic wins real easy but next game makes some weird errors, like this easy volley he hits back at Murray while the whole court is open....

    Part 3 ( 3-3)
    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=htp94XRg074

On Djokovic serve, at 3:45min djokovic just pushes the ball in middle of the court. So unlike him, and seem to play like a 4.0 on a Sunday morning practice.
2nd point of the game, completely unbelievably poor point by Djokovic and gets broken to love! This was REALLY weird!

Funny thing is that Murray doesn't even play well, nowhere near his best tennis. And it always feels like Djokovic is the superior player, and he has that extra gear when he wants it, but he doesn't seem to want to use that extra gear in this match.

Am I the only one here who thinks there was something funny about the way Djoker played this final? Like if he didn't care! 3 sets is very surprising. Last time he lost in 3 sets in a slam was 2007.

Something very surprising too was the trophy ceremony and the short interviews. Djoker said he was happy that Murray won!? Really, that's so sweet of him. He is probAbly happy to have lost then?

Where's the "he was payed off" option.

There's like a 35 page thread discussing that BS.

    Bwahahahahahahahahahaha.

Yep - the deal was done on a grassy knoll, Elvis was the deal-maker - riding Shergar he was. All parties had to wear tinfoil hats. You'd be alright as I'm guessing your hat is made from 'special' tinfoil for 'special' people

That's a much more likely explanation than Murray being a better grasscourter than Novak.

It must really annoy you that Andy Murray is currently the best grasscourter on the planet.

That's right. Nadal has clay, Murray has grass, ***** has hard-courts. Federer can have whatever leftovers that Ferrer doesn't feed on.

Of course all the murray fans are going to deny any possibility that the match was not legit, that's understood. Anybody else with eyes and a brain certainly realized there was something funny going on. Of course the UK is going into deep recession, so any means to lift up the mood of the people is good, I guess last year should have been the year with the OG but that old Fed stole the show, again and showed that even when Murray has got all the help he could and plays the best tennis of his life, he still win this elusive slam... Something missing, and its not about technique or tactics. So Djoker comes in to help his old buddy.

And btw, how can you guys explain that Murray won the OG so easily on central court facing the same opponent who has always beaten him in slams, and who just one month before beat him again on the same court in the Winmbly final when Murray was the favorite and playing at the top of his game?
This was a funny match too, and Fed was only the shadow of himself that day. I guess he could throw away that match having won the one that counted a few weeks before.

Another troll thread intended to show disrespect and to bash Djokovic.

The OP should be ashamed of himself.

Hmmm...I think most of us are under the impression that the OP (who is indeed a troll) created this thread mainly with the intention of showing disrespect to Murray!

Indeed he should. But we all know that trolls like him have no shame whatsoever!

:):):) a murray fan and a djoker fan...hummm right, the truth is a bitter pill to swallow for both of you. Showing disrespect? Speak for yourself, and stop calling others names as soon as you don't agree with them. I wonder what kind of person you are cheering for a pusher with a 12 yo mentality who continuously shouts and swears in every single match he plays, and who fakes back injuries as soon as he loses...

You should be worried about Nadal not winning anything. Scrapping out a win over an injured Djokovic in the SF was the last time you will see Nadal win over the BIG 2. He does not have the edge on anything outside of clay and after clay is lost next year, there is no way he can reach Sampras' 14 slam count.
