Winfield racket

    I had a hard time viewing this frame. It looks like one of the many early 1970 Al frames. If I remember correctly it was only out for a short while!970-73 ??
    The ad in world tennis had a picture of a gentleman with a beard and cap who I think was suppose to represent the good Major. I know of no endorsement by pros, unlike Chemold with the Aussie, Rawlings with Newk and Big Pancho with the Spalding Smasher.

    Winfield was a instore brand used by Woolworths here in the UK. Not sure if it was used by the US Woolworths. I used one when I was around 10, which would have been in 1980.

    Overall it was just a cheap rqt.
