Whatever happened to the Badger's!? I have been following the team for the past couple of seasons and have been to many matches with my son, and each year the squad has gone downhill (both guys and girls). Considering that in 2009, the guys went to the sweet 16 and were battling OSU for a title in the big ten, they are now in a position to battle Iowa for last place in the big ten! The majority of the men's team has quit, transferred, or been kicked off the team in the last 6 years, and only 4 or 5 guys have graduated in that period of time. Add that to the results in recent years, and it looks like it is time for coach Van Emburgh to go...

They kind of caught lightning in a bottle those years with Michalicka and Baumann. Both of those guys are now doing pretty well on the challenger circuit. Those sweet 16 teams were very top heavy with those two and lacking in depth. The Badgers have not had as much success with their new eastern european players and have yet to find another player of that caliber.

49 is really lucky in my eyes, this team has some good spots but also bad ones
