Hey guys, I'm a little new to the whole stringing machines and stuff but I own one but I don't really use it that much. Anyway
My friend is probably going to upgrade his machine so im looking at things for him. Price range would have to be below 1000. I looked around the the wise head seems like a really good thing to have. I also look at the combinations and it seems like the Eagnas Flex 940 got good review with it. I was wondering if the Combo 910 + the wise head would be a good combo too?
Or any recommendations? I def. want something electrical and something that I dont really need to calibrate. Thanks guys.

    jerry,

I have a Combo 910 with a Wise tension head and am very happy. I chose the 910 over the Flex 940 after looking at the machines at Eagnas' warehouse facility not far from where I live. The main differences between the two machines are -

The Combo 910 has spring loaded, quick release clamp bases.
The turntable is stronger on the Combo 910.

Either machine would be a good match for the Wise unit.

PS Why the heck does Eagnas have so many different models? I cannot see a way of effectively manufacturing, selling and servicing such an enormous variety of machines. Doesn't make any sense to me...

    Good Luck!

If you are going to upgrade a crank machine that you presently own, I can see the reason for getting a Wise. If you don't have a machine, I would think that you would be better off purchasing an electronic machine with the electronic head designed for your machine, rather than purchasing a crank, putting the crank away,(that you pay for), that you most likely would never use again and putting on the Wise.

There are *other* brands -- just search. Lots of the same questions asked and answered in detail.
