It should be taken for granted that current "stars" in the entertainment industry won't carry the perception of "class" that Cary Grant once did, for a variety of reasons.

I wouldn't mind riding a train in a north-by-northwest direction with Natalia Vodianova in her first class compartment.

Been there, done that...for a short while the means of transport for my schlep to the City in search of my path to success. Ironic it is named for a failing grade...I soon moved to Belle Harbor, Rockaway...a short drive from Sheepshead Bay for the "D" train express, a fast track to my dreams on Madison Ave. "D" is a passing grade, but only barely. Maybe I should have gone the "A" route and added an hour each way???

Interesting… Over the course of my brief tenure on the East Side I never used trains at all. On the West Side, the 1/9 (known as 1 these days) was all I had ever known. Now that I am in Queens and enlightened, I assent to the consensus that E and F are the vastly superior lines of this city.

Overfocusing on pickled herring against the backdrop of wanton disregard for pickled garlic, cucumbers, and mushrooms, threatens the very core of the fabric of civil society.

You left out artichoke hearts marinated in olive oil and colossal olives stuffed with pimiento and fresh garlic. As Maria Von Trapp was known to sing, "These are a few of my favorite things!"

I don’t remember all the names, but if Kevin is one of those abusive caviar-eating men, then he is being excluded from the scene on purpose. What happened to common decency and modesty.

Sure, they all want just a slice of pizza and a glass of water. Next thing you know, they are eating your caviar, drinking your vodka, and sleeping all over your apartment…

By the way, I have watched that movie "Home Alone" before. Even as a little boy he had those lazy eyes and that "dude pass the bong" aura about him. That being said, if I had his parents I'd be shooting up heroin once an hour probably...:cry:

    not home not alone:
what's up with the world's longest traffic jam this past week in Russia???

Apparently, a snowstorm (in December in Russia...what a surprise!) snarled traffic and caused delays up to two days for thousands of motorists. Much vodka (and pomegranate juice???) was consumed as a personal antifreeze by stranded drivers???

I guess there has been some unusual weather going around everywhere lately, and it did not take much to overwhelm the public resources there. M10 was not designed to handle anywhere close to its current traffic volume even on a nice day, so it’s no surprise. Only commercial cargo drivers have legitimate business being out there, if you ask me, and they tend to be well stocked with food, booze, and entertainment. The sophisticated non-cargo people take the train or the plane.

Yes, I always see those three walking along M10 looking for business, rain or shine.

Listening to "Moonlight Drive" while eating "pie" in the back of a Zhiguli...

Let's swim to the moon, uh huh
    Let's climb through the tide
    Penetrate the evenin' that the
    City sleeps to hide
    Let's swim out tonight, love
    It's our turn to try
    Parked beside the ocean
    On our moonlight drive

Let's swim to the moon, uh huh
    Let's climb through the tide
    Surrender to the waiting worlds
    That lap against our side

    Nothin' left open
    And no time to decide
    We've stepped into a river
    On our moonlight drive

    Let's swim to the moon
    Let's climb through the tide
You reach your hand to hold me
But I can't be your guide

    Easy, I love you
    As I watch you glide
    Falling through wet forests
    On our moonlight drive, baby
    Moonlight drive

Come on, baby, gonna take a little ride
Down, down by the ocean side
    Gonna get real close
    Get real tight
    Baby gonna drown tonight
    Goin' down, down, down
