Athletic supporters chafe.
Chelsea supporters grate
"Chelsea Morning" by Joni Mitchell, but I prefer her song "River" which is not about the Thames.
Moon River first performed by Audrey Hepburn [first recorded by Andy Williams] in the 1961 movie Breakfast At Tiffany's (never seen it:-|).
"Moon River" was written by Henry Mancini with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. They renamed an inlet Moon River near Savannah, GA in honor of their favorite son, Mercer.
My fave tune, but never cared for that movie. A tad depressing, iirc.
I used to see signs of Savannah a lot when driving from South Carolina to Florida. I've driven to Atlanta, too, so maybe seen them on that route. This was in the 90's.
"Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" is a great film shot on location in Savannah. Kevin Spacey and John Cusack star.
Goin' where the sun keeps shining, through the pouring rain...(Arizona is soggy the last 2 days)
Crying In The Rain - Everly Brothers
Oops, thought this is Muzik Game
Roy Acuff's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" was covered by Willie Nelson, IRS poster boy
Rainman, Dustin Hoffman.
Dustin Brown rained down on The Minotaur last summer in Halle.
After a rainy summer night, the morning dawns on Les Halles in Paris...
Les cloches de Saint Eustace would wake me on a Sunday morning, a gentle reminder to go the boulangerie for fresh coissants.
When I was a young lad in France, my mom soon found out it was necessary to give me enough francs for two baguettes if she wished to have one arrive home from my errand to the boulangerie.
Sir, did you arrived one hour late from errands that's supposed to be done in under 30 minutes?
I loved every errands that allowed me to roam around more than is expected of me [oh yes, the job gets done alright.].
I love the smell of Parisian baguettes in the morning...
I love the craft of acting performed by Robert Duvall, from his first role as Boo Radley in "To Kill A Mockingbird".
Saw Duvall recently in "Second-hand Lions" along with Michael Caine. Nice flick. And in "Get Low", another interesting film.
Tina GOAT would remind us love is but a second-hand emotion. Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken???
What's love (broken heart) got to do with it?:-|
Murray now broken at love (0-4) in AO finals.
Murray has got to stop gurgling his gums!
The Scottish like to fry everything, including gum...
The Flying Scotsman
The Flying Scotsman movie (2006)
The true story of Graeme Obree, the Champion cyclist who built his bicycle from old bits of washing machines who won his championship only to have his title stripped from him and his mental health problems which he has suffered since.
Not to be confused with...The Flying Scotsman!
Reminds me of the story of Burt Munro from New Zealand who won many motorcycle speed records back in the early 60's on the Utah salt flats. Anthony Hopkins gave an endearing performance in the movie 'The World's Fastest Indian' (2005) chronicling Munro's struggles and success'.
(Not to be confused with Sureshs!)
Burt Lancaster, a truck driver, falling in love with Anna Magnani in The Rose Tattoo.
"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" featured a soundtrack from Trent Reznor that featured "The Immigrant Song" as the titles sequence background music.
Sweden has produced a disproportionate number of great films, including Ingmar Bergman's "Justine & Juliette"...
"I Am Curious (Yellow)" was a controversial Swedish film of the late 60's that was banned in Massachusetts for obscenity before winning on appeal in Federal courts.
I was curious about Mats Wilander's red-haired cousin, a Swedish woman who liked to party in Copenhagen...
Did she return to Stockholm and eventually encounter young Ernests for a night of "partying"???
She was on her way back to Sweden from Africa, where she did charity work. I liked her...
Charity and work are oxymoronic...giving of oneself frees you from the hardship of work.
Service to others is the key to your own evolution.
Roger Federer had a 93% service game won, to date.
If I won a date, I would choose Ivanovic!
Since my date of choice (Kirilenko) is taken [married], I would love to take Miss Maria Sharp [never mind she is at least 2.5 inches taller than me--I'm gonna need those elevators tailored for movie stars]!
"Love In An Elevator" by Aerosmith would be my soundtrack if I were to run into Maria K in a lift, married and pregnant or not!
Elevator to the Gallows - Malle.
Gallows Pole...soundtrack to 3R AO Fed loss to Led Seppilin!
Jonny Cash, Folsom Prison
Cash is king!;-)
Tell that to the citizens of Weimar Germany!
Weimaraners...The Grey Ghosts of the canine world!
I wish I had the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile...everyone would be in love with my car!
Oscar Schindler ...
