This is my letter to the moderators. I think this forum and it's constituents would all benefit from the banning of the following two words. Why not, when words like **** and ********* and ******** are all masked, why not these?

    best
    better

This, of course, is in jest. But seriously, I have a dream *ahem* that one day, tennis players will understand that there is no miracle racquet, no golden string and no game-saving tension that is best or better than any other. Banning these words won't help this day come, but it will certainly help keep my blood pressure down. ;):):D

But who would post if those 2 words were banned...the forum would cease to exist :)

then the trolls from the general pro player forum won't be able to say Nadal is better than Fed or vice versa. Every post in that forum would be ****

It was a supposed to be a modified quote from the movie Old School. However the four letter words that rhyme with duck, mitt, and mock seem to be censored. =P

Beanie: Whoa. Whoa. Why the F-ing? Why in front of the kid? All ya gotta do is say "earmuffs" to him, and you can say "****, ****, *****."
    Frank: ****. Balls.

They should also ban people for making crap threads:)

    Mods need to ban:

    YULitle - Making crap threads
Nickb - Causing too many wars with pro tour

:D Someone had to say something that wasn't the typical, "what's a good (string, racquet, tension, setup) for a (beginner, baseliner, serve and volleyer, old guy coming back, tennis elbow sufferer, woman, child)?"

Hahahahha. These are my favorite. "Someone tell me what racquet to get, and what type of string and tension. I am a beginner, but I want lots of control AND power. I also need a string that will last until I re-string it, a year from now. Also, I want to be able to play every day for four hours and not get tennis elbow, so keep that in mind. Also, it'd be great if the racquet were blue...

    Haha

YULitle I really need some help:

Ive been looking at the K90 as I think it would suit my game down to the ground.

I am looking for a racket with a load of power, that is easy to play with, is very forgiving and has a big sweet spot....what do you think?

It then goes on with you explaining the K90 is for advanced players with long strokes and has no power...I then go out and buy a K90..come back and post it for sale then complain that it gave me tennis elbow!

    :)

those are definitely the best words, and i use them better than you

in reality you are right, the thing to do it is find what you like use ti the way you like and get better a racket can help, strings can help but its down to the individual

I just found it amusing to hear the same exact things online that I heard in the shop the last four years. My favorite, because almost everyone said it, "what's a good beginner's racquet?"

Right. I definitely have been spending too much time on the computer, as anyone who cared to check could see by what times I post. Basically it's all day from 8am to 10pm. :( But, I've got a hitting partner in town now, and I actually get to play tennis today. :D :D :D

My favorite is, "I'm really playing great with RACKET B, but I want to get a new racket. What do you think I should get?"
    or
"I think I've finally found the perfect string setup with STRING L at 55#. What should I string my backup racket with?"

    It's like, DUH.

Good to see you are actually going to play tennis rather than talk about it or string rackets that never get used.

Nick what racket + strings do you use?
