My 3.5 WTT team will be playing the national championships in Indian Wells Oct. 30 Nov 1.

If you've been there please share your experience. Any advice on what to do after the matches...good affordable places for dinner.

    Thank you.

When I was 12 I was watching Lendl practice there and he touch caught a ball going like 90 MPH.

    So sick.

    Will never forget it.

Thats all I got on IW.

    :)

Goog luck to you too! Which State? I'm sure it'll be fun and very competitive. I hope the teams are not too serious about winning.

Hahahah!!! I played the past two years and captained a team this year, and played at a higher level with another team. My team won the qualifier but two guys couldn't travel. So I'm going with my 3.5 team. I love the rules. It's fast, it's different and a great practice for USTA league. It gets me used to starting a match focused and staying focused since there's no chance for recovery and all the points count against your team's overall performance (wins and losses).

I went to Nationals there a few years ago, it was a lot of fun. We wandered around Palm Springs a bit, nothing particularly memorable. The first night there were some clinics and things, I think I won a t-shirt.

My 3.5 team will be there as well. We are coming from South Carolina. Where is your team from?

Not bad, 2nd in the nation! Congratulations!

My team finished 3rd. It was a great experience to meet players with different styles on different courts and weather. Everyone was very friendly despite to pressure and desire to win.

I second the motion. The tournament was great and I never personally ran into anyone that was not polite on and off the court. It was very competitive but never ugly. Our team ended up second and despite the agony of defeat in the finals we had a blast. Hopefully we can make it back next year at the 4.0 level.
