Fantastic shoe. Very comfy, great grip, can change directions on a dime, feels low to court, durable for long pounding points. Very very very happy with this shoe for hard courts. Going to try the clay version too.

    Well done Nike.

Last week I wore adidas barricade 8 on hard court and I was so annoyed with them, feet hurt, toe got jammed,, just didn't feel right. Gosh it makes such a DIFFFERENCE when your feet feel perfect and comfy. .When they don't feel right in the shoe it really affects perforance and your mind. Nike rules.

They are good shoes. Better get as many as you can, since they are being replaced by the Lunar Ballistecs.

I love them, too, but have to admit the Lunar Ballistecs are great as well.

    actually i hate the 4.3

i bought a pair of them and i must say they are a little too bulky for me,
in respect of movement and feel they are one of the worst i ever had

too heavy, not confortable in getting free and light movement. I need to feel my feet on the ground and i dont feel nothing with these "boots".. too much heavyness

the only thing good about them is problably the durability but i feel i can easily get injured using these shoes they dont protect very well the foot, specially the achilles tendon...

for example i prefer the super cheap city court VII to this expensive 4.3 any day of the week...also the barricades are a lot more confortable( in my opinion).
So for me the 4.3 never again, and for sure the ones that came replacing them (the lunar) will be a never never never situation, as they are completely over the top, over the size and over over over over the price

You should read some of the defect forums on this shoe.

I honestly loved them but they provedto be a little unreliable.
Defect 1: lace loops popping. This didn't make the shoe unwearable but did affect the cage feeling support. Also I never had issues with this after the gray /peach colorway happened twice in this 1 cororway though.

Defect 2: Airmax in heel popping this completely ruined the shoes there is pleanty info in differant threads about this. I had this happen twice total in different colorways Nike did warrenty under 2 year defect policy but it happened about 8 weeks in and I usually get 12 weeks out of them.

I had about 8 pairs in total of cb4.3 tried amc in the middle of the 8 Cbs but hated them

Currently wearing b8s and no I don't prefer them but I had to start looking for a new go to shoe and was not shelling out $165 for lunarbalistecs which look like 8 week run through shoes based on treadpatern and tw reviews. Next I will try gr5s but likely will stick with b8s. I have a low arch so b7s are out b5s may be a possibility. The toe jaming in the b8s doesn't happen as frequently after you get used to moving in them.

    Hope this helps.

I have noticed back of heel area is hurting a bit after hard court play.

It's still my favorite shoe overall, but I'm also very heavy 225 at 6'2". So Asics GR5 and Vapor 9 just don't last, basically not providing enough support, while Barricades feel clunky.

Disclaimer I have yet to try the B8 that I've just bought (for clay), but I have a pair of BV.

Lunar Ballistec is a worthy replacement. Still have a couple of 4.3s around, but am hoping to warranty these Lunar Ballistecs.

I definitely agree with the OP. I hated the Adidas Barricade 8s and made the switch to the 4.3s and love it! No more feet pain and I can actually wear short socks. With the Adidas it rubs your skin so you have to wear crew socks.

That's because you tried the Barricade 8s and not the 7s. The 7s are better than the 4.3 imo.

Are the B8's durable at least?
I saw them in an Adidas and they give me the impression they're nothing over my Bercuda 1's ( which are not in the high-end pricing... ).

The B8 is an extremely durable shoe, the most durable shoe on the market right now besides the Barricade V, now that is a TANK. I love the B8, having been wearing them for months and they feel and fit great. Plus super durable. They don't get that much love here for some reason.

OK, so seriously you are saying the Cushioning is just as cushy and good as the old Ballistecs ??? Nike claim that they thinned out the cushion with Lunarlon to make the shoe feel closer to the ground..............

It's different cushioning, but I love the feel of it. Haven't had them long enough to gauge durability, but I like them a lot.

Well, they're "All-Court", at the same time, all courts should be more durable than clay shoes. Even on clay itself. But the clay version should help sliding while sacrificing durability.

The cushioning is more of a foamy-type substance that has some form factor for support unlike the Air Max technology in the 4.3 that provides a more rigid cushioning.

Nike seems to be a tad looser and more comfortable than adidas, like I can wear 9.5 size nike comfortably but adidas 9.5 are a lil too tight. Hope that helps,

I wear an 11 in the Barricade 5.
I need an 11.5 in the CB 4.3.
the CB 4.3s run shorter in the length than the B5.

The cost of Lunar Ballistecs is not necessarely an issue considering that you get warranty, while on the CBs 4.3 I won't be able to take advantage of warranties anymore, since I'm stock pilling on them.

So if you get 2(second pair being free under warranty) Lunar Ballistecs for $165 (plus shipping), that's what 2 pairs of CBs. 4.3 just costed me.

They are super durable too. Worn them a lot on hard courts and surprisingly they still have not worn a hole in the sole yet. Looks like they have plenty of weeks to go to. Good sturdy shoe.

I wear 9.5 in Nike Ballistec 4.3 and Adidas Barricade 8's.

White B-8's are much stiffer and take much longer to break i than Black.

B8's not as comfortable as Ballistec 4.3 and seem to not stretch out as much. The B8's have gotten a bit loose on me. Both extremely durable!

Agree compleately but what will cb4.3 lover's do now?

I'm not too impressed with b8s but I have white sound like I need to try black but it will have to be after I try b5 and bigshot 2. I was strongly considering trying LB but still too much at $135 to 'try ' so I'm currently debateing b5 and bs2 but most likely will try bs2 after noticeing I can get them for $75.

I'm sure Nike is not happy with nadals antics right now so I'm sure he will switch and the cb4.3 will disappear just like the rest of Cb line. Maybe for the next year or 2 you will be able to buy at outlet stores or amazon and then maybe the bay but wont have the convienience of sending them back to tw to deal with warrentys and considering I only get about 3 months with them I prefer an easy warrenty transaction. So if you don't plan on crashing in on the outsole warrenty you'll be fine but given the heel air defect and lace loop defect what comes under 2 year defect policy its just not worth it to me personally and then you have to hope Nike Honor's the policy from wherever you may get them.

I actually spoke with Nike directly concerning these issues and they didn't seem to surprised of my concerns but didn't seem to have plans on revamping them to address the issue hence I believe why they got replaced with lunar. Worst case we may see nadal in amc and delpo in lb but I doubt that aswell. Imo were stuck with lb and amc for at least another year and I doubt they'll drop amc to bring Cb back more likely in two years for them to drop lb and bring back Cb.

so if Nadal switches to the new one and re-injures his knees and has to retire forever, will NIKE take full responsibility for destroying a career of greatest tennis player ever lived ???

Actually not, if you read Rafa's book, Nike spent a ton of time customizing his shoes to take the pressure off of his foot. As I am sure you know, Rafa has cartilage in his foot that is a congenital defect. He was born with cartilage where it is supposed to be bone.

Nike came up with a padding scheme to take the pressure off of his tarsal scaphoid, the bridge of his foot. But this changes his alignment and is at least the partial cause of his knee and back problems. But woihout this padding, his tennis career was over.

Maybe the reason he is not wearing the Lunar. But, I just can't bring my self to pay $165.00 for a tennis shoe. I tried a pair on the other day and , meh, not worth it in my mind. I just bought 2 more pair of CB 4.3 on sale that will be here tomorrow! Find a Volt/White/Blk and a Gray/White Black in 9.5 and scooped 'em!

May try a pair of Vapor 9.5's . But I gotta to admit, I love the original K-swiss Bigshot. I have 4 pair! I like to rotate shows constantly. I never wear the same pair 2 days in a row! Andif I hit twice in a day I change shoes. Keeps the feet from getting beatup!

So right now I will have in shoe rotation:

    3 CB 4.3
    2 Barricade 8
    4 K-swiss Bigshot
    1 K-swiss Bigshot II
