Exactly what I thought, she will probably be using SFIT 1, VCon X18( heavier), or the new RDiS 500 or even the RDiS 200 light, I don't think they would endorse any other that would actually fit her style, and all of this if she really signs with them.

You can cross off your list of speculation the SFIT. There is now whole in the shaft of her racquet.

That's right, maybe Yonex will do what Dunlop, Head, Wilson... do that means, she will use a frame with other frame's pj that she will not be using so they can fool the customers.
I hope they don't start doing that.

Her black racquet that she used in the exo definitely has a isometric head shape.

I know, I meant she would be using EZONE with RDiS 500 pj for example.
I remember when Ivanovic changed racket people were no believing that it was a new racket(including myself I thought it was a RD-7), but it turned out it was a completely new racket.

Yonex did that for years with Hewitt. He used the Super RD Tour 90 with the all the various paint jobs of the latest and greatest. It was not until the RDiS 100 Mid did he really make the switch and his short flirtation with the RQiS Tour for a month or two.

Correct, but most of time they actually use the racket they endorse.
Didn't they say Hewitt used RDS mid as well??
I actually think Yonex made a mistake to discontinue that RQiS 1 Tour. That is one of the best rackets on the market along side the URD Ti 80.

Of course Yonex claimed he used the RDS 001 Mid. But he did not. It was the SRD Tour 90. Yonex is just as guilty as the other companies.

Not as much as the other companies, that was a one of a few times they have done it, I think they did with Pimpim as well, but I can't say it for sure.
However I like that RDS mid a lot, much better than the RDX 500.
I would love to have the RDS mid with the material of R-22, but with 16x18, 27.5in, the rest would be the same.
R-22 as it is, didn't help me on 2nd serves
I can't believe the Navratilova used that racket, it is too demanding for a woman to use.

Imagine if Jimmy Connors Wilson T2000 was really a PJ of the Arthur Ashe head competition model.

I don't believe racket companies tried to fool the public in the past.

you are kidding.?.. somebody please post :
kramer's wilson pjs, laver's pj of his dunlop maxply!
    ....borg with his donnays/bancrofts.

It has gone on since the companies realised there was money to be made from player endorsements...

back to the topic...wozzy will obviously be testing quite a few rackets...yonex have definitely got the money but it will be a big change for her. Hope for her sake...she gets it right!
There are a lot of good rackets out there...

    Wozniacki to use new frame

Wozniacki tried a Yonex frame as we all know and it has passed her test. The new frame is a new model of a new series being released at Oz Open in Jan as replacement to RDIS range

The rds003/rdis 300 series is not too far from the apd spec, so with a little adjustment ... althought they're quite different racquets.

Yonex made a new racquet for her (EZONE), if you look at the specs., exactly the same as her Babolat, plus the EZONE looks similar, especially in the throat area.

Fully false. McEnroe, Borg and many others before them (Laver, etc.) had wood paint jobs. We could name dozens of more obscure players (e.g. Jose Luis Clerc) if we wanted to. And ever since it has been going on. The only real change is that more players have paid racquet contracts in the modern era than did prior, and that the marketing cycle is more rapid, forcing the companies to switch the paint sooner and more often.

Is that your final answer? Yonex may seem less guilty simply because they sponsor fewer players. But at the risk of alienating friends there, I'd suggest you take a good look at archival photos of many of their past players, including Malivai Washington, Richard Krajicek, etc. And what about all the random cosmetics Nalbandian has used over the years? As a percentage, Yonex does it at least as much as anyone else.

As for a racquet being too challenging for one of the best (if not THE best) woman player of all time, are you serious? Does that mean the frame was only made for 6.5+ level men? Those people don't even buy racquets. Strange statement.

The EZONE was designed for Ivanovic, she is definitely the one Yonex has targeted for the marketing of the racket. You can just take a look at their website.

Wozniacki was not even in the picture when they completed r&d and testing on the racket...if she signs then it could be a possibility.

A good move from Yonex is using a trendy name instead of their numbers system...less confusing to sales staff, the consumer and the tennis fraternity.

No your wrong, Ivanonic is still using the RQIS with paint job of EZONE.

Wozniacki has been in negotiations well before EZONE was developed.

No.. Ivanovic definitely switched. The racquet she is using now is not the RQIS. Yonex has been developing this racquet for her since the beginning of this year, with Ana playing with a first prototype in a march exho. She even spent time playing tournaments with a blacked out prototype before the Ezone was officially released this summer. It's not exactly the Ezone 100 though.

Wozniacki will use a new line to be released january 2011, if she indeed signs.

This is what I was thinking, even made a thread on here asking if people knew anything about a new RDiS line coming out, or a replacement for it. I was told to basically shut up and play with what I got haha gotta love the clowns posting in here sometimes.
Anyways, I'm not surprised Wozzy went with Yonex. People don't realize but Yonex has massive amounts of cash, from badminton of course. People would rather play with a fake Yonex badminton racket then a real racket from another company....and this was said to me by a Babolat rep. The price might be higher in some parts of the world for Yonex frames, however I believe the quality is unmatched. Thats not to say they are the best ever, as everyone is different and but by far the best built quality and consistency of any tennis rackets I believe.

Let's wait until it's official. Remember Verdasco. Babolat can still counter at the end of her 30 day trial period whenever that is.

Its not official yet true, however it is the only racket we've seen Caroline use besides her Babolat's. Her contract runs out at the end of the year, and with the WTA season over why not train and play exhibition matches with your new frame. I don't want to jump the gun, but I'd say its a fairly safe bet now.

My biggest surprise is the fact that Babolat didn't put up a fight for her or maybe they already knew her mind was made up. She signed with Babolat while she was still new so her contract couldn't of been that large $$ wise, so saying she's now making twice as much as before doesn't mean a whole lot. I bet its still less than Ivanovic, Sharapova etc.
It'll be weird for a bit seeing her with a new Yonex frame.

Caroline said in the interview with Ekstra-bladet (biggest Danish news paper), that she has signed a new deal and that she would test her new racquet soon after Doha, if I remember correctly she said in Thailand at an exo.

Someone responded in the contract thread that Ivanovic's contract was one of the richest ever for a female player. I couldn't find any figures, but everywhere I read said it was record breaking deal. Yonex doubled Babolat's deal, but Ivanovic will make more.

Babolat may still come back with another offer, but they may have too many players under contract to go crazy with Woz.

And raise their prices even more ?

There are limits otherwise rackets would cost $300. We pay for their sponsorship. However, I don't know why JoelDali isn't chasing Woz or would Kirilenko be jealous.

The contract is signed. And the name of the new Yonex Series will be V-Core or something like this. Wozniackis frame will be in red/white color and is called V-Core 100. There will also be 98 and 95 sqin versions.

I didn't say Ivanovic was using the Ezone, it was just designed with her in mind not Wozzy. That is why Yonex are using her for marketing. You don't have to believe me, ask Yonex.
What they both end up actually using is up to them...:)

This is all about marketing, business...I preferred EZONE but VCore, why not??? she definitely needs her own line.
Funny thing is one of Babolat's new shoes is called V-PRO!!
Main thing is she plays well with whatever is under the paint.

Thanks for the info. to jura, will be interesting to see the new cosmetics.
hopefully reps will have it early jan...?

How do you know it's signed.

Is the V-Core the same technology as the Ezone. Any idea which frame the V-Core is replacing. Could it be the V Con.

Now Yonex needs to work on the men's side.

    thanks

In Polish W sounds like V. So the name V-Core would actually suit her.
