    WTA Women's Rankings (Updated Monday, February 19th 2007) :

Just 2 changes in the Top 10, Anna Chakvetadze up 2 places to #.10 and pushing 2 girls down a place, Jelena Jankovic to #.11 and Dinara Safina to #.12.

The most interesting progression is Elena Likhovtseva who jumps +13 to #.49 and of course Yaroslava Shvedova shooting up 65 places to #.78 after her incredible win in the Bangalore Open, 2007, Tier III. (the upset came when she beat the Indian star Sania Mirza in the quarter finals.

Just a word of encouragements to Alicia Molik, up another 7 places to #.90. :p

Another big slide backwards for Jelena Kostanic Tosic : -22 to #.100

So, here are the CoreTennis WTA Rankings, a unique feature is the DELTA index showing the UPS and DOWNS makes the variation in rankings much easier to follow from one week to the next.

These WTA Rankings are presented in a CoreTennis page which gives direct access to the each player's file in the CT Database.

Here are the 3 presentations of this week's WTA Rankings :

    > WTA - Top 100

    > WTA - Biggest Progression

    > WTA - Biggest Drop

Nice to see there are still some WTA fans here.
Two things strike me as noteworthy right away:
    1. Hingis is in there at #6, I didn't think she could stay so high so long.
    2. The Europeans are dominating with a hold on the top 14 spots.
