Does anyone buy into the idea of the Quality Index as published on www.racquetresearch.com? According to this site, a racquet can be judged using the formula M * r^2 / I (M = racquet mass, r = balance, I = swingweight).

I tried this formula on 24 racquets using data from TW. The lowest score (best) went to the Volkl DNX 10 Mid which had a score of 0.97. The next lowest went to the ProKennex Kinetic Pro 7G (1.01). Both of these racquets are reported to be "arm friendly".

Just wondering if there is any merit to this Quality Index approach?

I'm looking for a more arm friendly racquet to help my aching elbow.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have an aching elbow, try this:

Find a headlight fairly weighty racquet that has a large percentage of fiberglass. String it with natural gut at a fairly low tension. TW sells at least one or two racquets that have a low stiffness due to fiberglass.
