It's good to be cool with a girl that knows how to string. Now all I gotta do is buy my own string from TW and she's gonna string them up for free. I don't need to buy a stringer anymore, yay for me.

    Is anyone else this lucky?

The only bad part about this is she told me she'd do it for me a day after I paid a guy $35 to string two sticks.

Buy a machine and have her teach you to use it. The machine will most likely last longer than the girlfriend.

My coach strings my racquets for free, and he does a racquet (one piece) in about 8.5 minutes.

She's not my girlfriend. I'm cool with her but we're definitely not together.

8.5 minutes is an incredible time. Better watch him and make sure he's not taking short cuts like double pulling or not going more than 3 ahead on the main pulls.

It's nice that you have someone that can string for you, but in my case, I truly enjoy the process. I get antsy when I don't have any frames to do.

As far as a frame in 8.5 minutes...I'm suspicious. I'm a fairly proficient stringer and did a POG MP in 11 min. 36 seconds. As most stringers will tell you, the POG MP is one of the easiest frames out there to string. 14X18 pattern, the mains end at the head so there's no ATW pattern involved. That's following proper stringing techniques. As Jerry already posted, you might want to watch him to make sure that he's not double pulling and not combing the strings to prevent friction burn notching.

Should I buy a reel of Tecnifibre E-Matrix 17 660 string? I heard it really plays well. That'd only be like $4 a string job and I wouldn't be paying for labor. I wouldn't mind getting that done twice a week.

Double pulling is when you tension two strings with one pull. The two strings being pulled will have inconsistant tensions, and it is basically guesswork as to what tension the racquet will be. It will not produce a consistant stringbed.
