I have noticed that there are many pros using some time of yellow string in their racquets. Anyone know what this is? It seems to be pretty popular. For instance, I know Safin uses it:

well there's many different strings that are yellow out there. it depends entirely on the player

for instance, safin uses Luxilon Big Banger Original 16 gauge, i believe.

could be a number of strings.

    A few are:

-Uncoated Natural gut (I don't think coated is yellow, though don't quote me). Also, I think this is yellow, and if it is, it's more of a transparent yellow. I doubt pro players would be playing with this unless their low ranked.
    -Pro Hurricane is pretty popular
-Babolat Tour duralast. Not very popular, you'll probably only see this on nadal's racquets.

Anytime, you see yellow strings, the racket is usually a cross with a polyester (the yellow color) and another string. An example of this is Roddick's racket. He uses the PHT + VS Gut. The PHT, or polyester, part is yellow and the natural gut is white.

My coach borrowed my racket for a while which have PHT in them .. He said he couldnt play with it because the strings were putting him off, seeing a wave of yellow everytime he hits the ball. Anyone else get that problem??

I believe that the yellow wave came from the racquet ;) strings might have just added to the impression... anyone else seeing yellow ? :D
