We haven't heard back from Yonex, but we are checking again on availability for 2014.

    Thanks,

Any updates? Hate to be impatient but I just noticed TWE listed the new gear. Trying to figure out if I should buy from them or wait until you receive them.

We were able to get some apparel but I do not know a reliable date for its arrival. We have ordered what we can. Hope I can give you a better update soon.

    Thanks,
    Tiffani, TW

    krl2013,

It looks like we have some logo t-shirts that should be arriving shortly as well as the summer line looks to arrive in May.

That's a great update. Please let us know when.

On a separate note, I don't quite understand Yonex's marketing strategy. Since the last several months to a year, they have had no updates to the apparel line in the US. Maybe the profitability on the apparel is not as big as rackets, bags and shoes but the apparel at the very minimum would help them promote the brand a little more. Their apparel hasn't been cheap either.

Then, they introduce new rackets but the general population can't get them in the US till 2 months later. Maybe this is common with all brands but seems awkward.

If they are a global brand, I don't understand why they wouldn't sell globally and choose to have apparel and stuff in Europe but not in the US. It is not like they are spending tons of money on distribution either because their line is only carried by a handful of places it seems. Just venting so hopefully somebody at Yonex can make their stuff more available.

I know beggars cannot be choosers but those look cheap and look like somebody just placed the yonex logo on the front and back without much thought into the quality and appearance - unlike their other products. Again, goes back to my point about their sales and marketing strategy. Not sure I understand it.

Love their rackets and shoes but can't say the same for their apparel and marketing approach.

They aren't that bad. Regardless, don't let them be your basis on Yonex's apparel. Their apparel is top rate stuff, especially the gear Wawrinka is currently sporting. Unfortunately it hasn't been available in North America that I've found.

I for one am dying for some of this apparel. On Wawrinka, it's some super clean cut and simple looking stuff - just love it. Here's to hoping y'all get in some more of the pro gear!!

To clear up some confusion, Yonex pro apparel was not available in the US market for spring. It was made available to the US market again for summer. We ordered what we could, and I expect our next shipment of performance/athlete apparel will be what Wawrinka will switch to for Roland Garros. Those items are expected to deliver some time in May. Unfortunately we will not be able to get any of the gear he wore in Australia.

    Thanks,
    Tiffani, TW

    MCallanan,

Unfortunately, it looks like it has been delayed until early August.

again, proves my point above.. they continue to have a good product but poor ability to do any marketing or sales in the US.
