will the RDS line price drop once the RQiS rackets are released or will they stay the same?
It should not change, I believe, as Yonex is continuing with both series. (Or so I heard)
They will stay the same I would imagine. The RQiS does not replace the RDs line, but the RQS line, which has already had a price drop recently.
Reply from Yonex:
Thank you SFrazeur for your recent inquiry regarding our new racquets soon to come out. As to your question "No" they are not the replacement of the RDS line. We will continue carrying this series as well. Unfortunately we don't have any specs available for those upcoming racquets than what you already know. All information should be open to the public in about a month from now before the U.S open. If you have further questions please contact us again. Thank You
Ok thanks for the info
well, before the microgel extremes came out, i got a chance to meet with a HEAD rep and hit with them. when i asked him wat microgel was, he also mentioned that it was not replacing the flexpoint line. but apparnetly it is
You can always buy RDs when it goes on clearance.
As I recall, the prices for the RDX 500 never dropped when the RDS 001 came out (at least here at TW). One day, they sold out of the RDX 500 at the same price and that was that.
Yonex seems to time their intro's and discontinuations so that the price rarely drops on their older rackets. Of course, they probably lose some sales doing this as they would have to decrease shipments of one line of rackets as the newer line got closer to going out.
There was a $10 price drop a while after the RDS line came in. The 500 started at $180, at some point prior to RDS went to $170, then after the RDS it went to $160.
