Just purchased a few of the older Yonex 500 RDX's, in Mid & Midplus. You stated these were your favorite...I must agree! Were do you find grommets for the 90" and 98"? THanks......

I like the new Paint job. Hmm a little thicker beam? the TI 80 was a little thicker than the 002T and I liked that one better...

Great stuff ... like to hear more pros getting onto yonex's bandwagon!
Let's hope verdasco gets some decent result and able to give yonex more tv times. ;-)

xfactorer, do you have the specs on the RDiS 200 non-tour? I'm debating on whether to get another RDS 002 before they're gone, or wait until march to try the new RDiS 200. I have looked around on the internet, but can't find specs.

Yonex just put up specs... looks like the two different versions of the RDiS 200 are just in weight.

The new RDiS 200s are supposed to be flexible AND powerful; two traits thought to be conflicting. Blah blah blah; I just hit with a brand new YouTek Radical Pro that I bought last night... now I'm selling it and waiting for the RDiS 200s!

I guess the "G" weight and the "HG" weight mean that there are two different versions. I still think that the RDS 002 Tour's specs look a little bit better and suit my game more. The beam is thinner and the stock weight is meatier. But i'll give this stick a shot when it releases.

It seems to be touted as being super flexible... at least that's what the ads lead me to believe. I hope it's a reincarnation of the RDX 500!

If it's a yonex then 310 or 7-8 pts headlight, 64-5 flex and 320-24 swingweight would be a reasonable guess.

Why would you say that? The RDiS 100s are more flexible than the RDS 001s... so maybe by this iteration of the RDiS with Toughlex, it'll be even more flexible like the old RDX! Fingers crossed!

I heard from someone who got a demo in Singapore that the beam was much thicker than the rds tour.

Yeah; the RDiS 200 has a thicker beam. It's in the specs. Now what we don't know is the swing weight, pts. head light, or flex. Flex seems to be a main point made by Yonex in the ads... let's hope it's a re-incarnation of the RDX 500s!

Verdasco vs Roddick using his new Yonex. Looks like he's hitting well with it (if it really is a 200!). Drops the first set, wins the next 2.

Spoke with Yonex yesterday. They're being shipped....

They have a 320g one, too... Europe is getting only the lighter one.

It's gonna be more powerful and more flexible than the RDiS 100s, but not as soft as the RQiS 1 Tour.

According to a Chinese website it has a 66 Flex so more than Mid but less than the Midplus version of the RDiS 100...

Indeed you are correct! So it has a higher flex than the Midplus but lower than the Mid.

Thq for noticing my mistake! Cheers!

I'm going to demo the Yonex RDIS 100 MP again, along with the 200 and 300. Which ever I like best I'll think about getting. Kind of seems the 300 gets overlooked.

Here's the matrix from Yonex Japan that indicates where things are supposed to be in relation to each other.

The bolded part is the key. If you compare the specs on TW you'll see that it isn't like that. I think it's more of Hard/Soft in use where Soft should be replaced by easier...

We shall see. It's march so it won't take long until TW checks the specs ;)

I've tried almost everyones 'player's' racket out there, even the new batch of Wilson, Head, and Babs (I don't bother with 18-main frames). Some okay, some pretty good - but certainly didn't live up to the hype - and wait....

The Dunlop 500 T and the Yonex RDiS100 are the two at the top, as far as I'm concerned (I'm waiting for 4 Vantage frames at the moment), in comparing them to my pro stock Heads (mid).

If Yonex is 'going down the wrong road', I say great. They're some of the best frames I've tried. I don't get all wrapped up in specs as so many do. They simply aren't a bearing on how a racket feels or plays here. You can grab two frames from different makers with virtually identical specs - and they play nothing alike.

Interested to try this new 200. It would be great if they made a Mid, but I also forget that the Dunlop is a 100" head, so easy it is to play, and I swear, with that '100' on the side of the RDiS 100, you think it IS a 100, so big is the sweetspot.

    Just my 2 cents....

Well, if you grab two identically spec-ed racquets from two different brands, you still have the material it was made from to take into consideration. Anyway, I recently bought a YouTek Radical Pro and hit with it and it felt hollow and bland compared to my Yonex RQiS 1 Tour. It didn't feel solid, but the flex was nice. Hated the grip. Anyway, I had to return it.

I'm anxious for the RDiS 200, but now that I know there are new RQ series racquets coming out, I'm curious to see if I should wait or make the leap to the 200. I'm long over-due for an upgrade.

Wrong road since their R line. You may be too young to know the 80'S r SERIES - perfect racquets.

I just picked up an RDX 500 Mid. Nice, but I think the RDiS100 is a better frame. More feel, better overall flex pattern, more pocketing.

I worry about midplus frames, as I've generally shied away from them, but I have hopes for this 200, as I'm finding Yonex frames to be some of the best player's frames out there....

My point is exactly that about specs and totally different rackets; Talking to Sven at Vantage, and I agree; For all the newest and latest/greatest disco-material "claims" of all these makers, why is it pro stock frames are simply 100% graphite, or a bit of fiberglass in the mix? Nothing exotic, straight forward tennis rackets.

Again, it ALWAYS comes down to 'feel'. What you like may be completely different than what I like, but good to hash out the good and bad points.
