Hello, guys. I string for myself and am quite interested in an atw pattern for my yonex, so I can properly tension the crosses from top to bottom. My question is related to how I would go about "tensioning" the strings. It is recommended that the cross strings are to be strung 5% lower than the mains, but would that cause an issue while stringing. To me, lowering the tension on the crosses seems a little weird with one-piece string jobs. Would the higher tension from the mains bother the crosses? If it is not an issue, would I just string the crosses at the lower tension and then revert back to the original tension when I string main(s) again? Sorry if this has been discussed before, but my search skills are not up to snuff. Thanks for any and all input.

One piece stringing one tension for the whole racquet. Two piece stringing is the only time you can have two different tensions.

Stringing one piece at two different tensions is a no no.
