Fila? Never worn the stuff..you must have me confused with someone else.
Yonex shoe has best fit, cushioning and support in my opinion KostaK

How is the area around the ankle, is it soft around the back of collar of the shoe for ankle area, particularly around the back near achilles tendon?

Babolats are too hard back there and it causes pain in the area which kills the shoe IMO.

They are soft and glove like. But Asics Resolution are more cushioned overall.

I have the black and the blue ones, I hope you realize that the blue ones are specifically for clay with the tread design........you certainly can use them on hard court, but they are best on clay. The black, red, and white ones are all better if you plan on the majority of play of hard courts.

my fault on the post where I said the rubber comes apart where it is glued after only 3 weeks. I was wrong. Actually it was after about 2 and 1/2 month of use. playing about 2 times per week on average

Ordered them (blue 308) on Friday from Tenniswarehouse and they just arrived today. Feel incredibly perfect, soft, comfortable. Can't wait to play in them. Really impressed by Yonex products. Seriously considering shifting from Volkl racquets to Yonex.

Right, also the shoe will enable you to jump about 1.5 feet higher than you normally do due to its Power Cushion.

The attractive female on the court next to us commented about my blue shoes and after my match I found an article of her clothing and a phone number in my bag. Thanks Yonex )

Well, to the defense of Yonex, they forewarned you... they call the shoe SHT for a reason.

Are you using the blue ones in clay or hard court? (blue ones are designed for clay but Ive seen some pros using them in hard courts)

I use the blue ones on hard court on occasion, and anytime I am on clay I use either those blue ones or the older Yonex red ones for clay. The blue ones are nice on hard court as well, maybe a little softer rubber but I am not worried as I only wear them once in a while.

Congrats on the phone number, I get lots of compliments on those blue shoes as well, but they never landed me a phone number

Fantastic shoe. Super comfy soft, great grip, feet feel fine after three hours of play. Really happy with this shoe and will continue to support Yonex. Tonight was the first time I ever wore a Yonex shoe and it is one of the best shoes for tennis I have ever tried. *****

    Thanks )

One question to you loyal Yonexists: Nike is known for highs and lows in quality of their shoes, some years they are very good, other years, absolute junk. Is Yonex consistently putting out high quality shoes year after year, model after model? Thanks,

Ive owned 307 and 308, both quality shoes. Ive read they have always sold quality shoes, the same with their rackets.

I started out with Yonex back when they introduced the 304's. Have been wearing them ever since. Always high quality. The only knock on them is that they tend to wear out a little faster than some of the competitors. But I prefer comfort over something that last longer and hurts my feet.

Agree. Touch wood....I used to wear the Nike Vapors and had constant pains in my feet, shins and knees. All gone since moving over to the 308.

For the past 4 years I have gotten 1 or 2 new pair of Yonex from their annual offering because they are better and better each year. I cannot wait to try the "lite" version that has just been released, maybe even the "durable" one.

hey guys any info on these new YY shoes, SHT Light and SHT Durable, I already used 3 pairs since last year on the 308, next month I'll be getting another one, and I liked these 2 a lot, the lite looks perfect with my 2012 YY shirt and white shorts. The red durable looks good too, but I'm not sure about the fit, my local shop doesn't have this one yet and i don't want to order it and then have to return it.

So any info about fit would be great before I buy one of them.

Which one fits closer to the 308s? I like the 308 alot and the black model will continue in 2013. I just bought my second red pair because its on sale and it fits great in my feet. But, one of the old pairs inner soles does not fit so nice maybe its the wear and tear.

thanks Racertempo, good for you that you found such a satisfying shoe. One thing I ahve to say the style of the shoe is extremely flamboyant but the comfort makes up for it.

Sorry, it was a jumble of words.

Anyway, I said I liked both the way they look, but have not used either, so I'm looking for some feedback on the fit of both before I buy either.

I have used 3 pairs of SHT 308 last year, 2 red ones and one black, the reds are beautiful, even the ladies like it.

If I have to buy one of them I'd probably buy the light in turquoise color first, I can't go wrong with Yonex.:)

Im getting the new pro bag as well, blue one looks terrific, they seem to stand upright more than the older ones, so i guess they fixed the problem, or tried.

I agree, but the Diadora that I like are also a little vibrant and colorful and get lots of stares....but comfort comes first.

Is 308 more durable than 307?

It seems that 307 isn't even 1/3 as durable as the Barricade 7.

Well I tried and was sure hoping... Was down to the scrubs on my 305's and last of the 304's...The 308's just are too tight in the forefoot and do feel a little stiffer, my feet hurt & got a little pain in the knee....Gonna have to pass...Maybe one day they will go back to a wider body like the 305...
I think these used 3 times for an hour or so will be in the "for sale" section or on ****...Im bummed!
Bought a pair of Asics challanger 8 on the clearance rack for $50 yesterday...thought these were supposed to be real narrow....not thinking so...have a decent arch...gonna play a little with these...
I was hoping girls numbers would find their way in my bag too....strike 2! (well besides being an old guy!)

I found a pair of like new 307 at goodwill but in size 9 for $25. I wear 10.5. So I tried it on anyway at size 9 and was surprised that it fit, rather snug but it fit. After walking around for about 5 min testing them inthe store I decided to buy them. Could easily walk around in them and later I found out I can even hit in them too. This shows how remarkably comfortable the Yonex shoes are.

Remember reading Rafa wears a super small, snug fitting shoe for his feet as it enables him to feel quicker on the court.

I just played a few sets in a brand new blue SHT 308 clay, after breaking it in the day before (an hour of gym work). I am quite happy with it! Excellent support and cushioning. Interestingly enough, it had an immediate (psychological) effect on my one handed backhand. I was ripping it :)

The only issue I had with it was a little toe pain...nothing too worrisome, perhaps I'm adjusting to a narrower toebox (other shoe- Asics GR4). Does the toebox area loosen up after some time?

Can somebody comment on the difference between the 306s and the 308s? I tried the 306s a while back and wasn't impressed and switched to the Vapor 6s at the time.

    Too narrow for me...

Gave the 308 a test run, too narrow for my feet. I normally wear NB but haven't been happy with them lately. As a few others stated, the toe area is really tight and they seem like a good shoe.

Got my pair in today, glove like fit, no break in needed, not narrow at all for medium width just right, toe area roomy, these were ordered 1/2 size larger than my foot, don't want to jam my toes in the front of the shoe for sudden stops.

Its really good stuff. I think cushion is much better than last model. but the ankle support is not as good as last model. but it is still very good though.

Its the first tennis shoe I have bought that cushions the entire foot, I did an entire practice today with them, comfortable and well ventilated.
