my son has played on and off with this string for the last 2 years. it is close to head fxp 16 with a bit more power and a bit more spin. it retains tension very well, probably as good as nxt but with more durability. my son has two mfil-300 strung with these two strings (fxp and spin 80). he plays with the yonex when he feels comfortable in attack and plays with the fxp when facing big servers. both strings are very good if you want to enhance directional control. if you whant to pound the ball with spin and power reagrdless of where it lands on the other side then look elsewhere. I use these two strings to tame the power of polys or gut without compromising the comfort.

Soft. Spin. Powerful. Spin keeps ball in. Good for cross. With a poly in the mains, you'll have the ultimate spin machine.

to what appropiate tension do you guys think i should string, because I hear from you that it has no tension loss, and it would be good as a cross string

Yonex Tour Super 850 Pro is still the best string yonex makes in their multi division. i am just curious though, do you guys think X-1 biphase is better than Yonex ?? or about the same ??
