Got this frame + 6 pack bag + Super 850 string + stringing + 2 wristbands + 3 overgrips for a great price at a WTA tournament - an impulse buy, though I like to convince myself it was a tsunami and earthquake donation.

I was using the Wilson BLX Pro Open prior to this.

I am liking the Yonex a lot. The isometric shape giving more area towards the tip seems to make a difference on off center hits. The frame is not flexy and low power like the previous Yonex frames I have demoed, like the RQIS1 Tour??? So the unique Yonex feel with bending in the throat is not apparent.

However, it is very comfortable and above all, "solid." It is made in Japan, and while I would like to attribute it to superior manufacturing, it may be a matter of using better materials. It doesn't feel hollow or tinny at all.

Its response is also very "true," in the sense the ball seems to go where it is directed.

Unlike Head frames, the bevels caused me no transition problems from Wilson.

Does Yonex really use better materials? How do they still compete?

Yeah, the VCores are a whole different direction from what we think Yonex is. VCore frames are stiffer, and they're more powerful with respect to their supposed predecessor. I've demoed them all; the 100S is pretty sweet, but not for me.

I'm a RQiS 1 Tour kinda guy; I don't think it has a lack of power (for my personal game). I'm currently using the Ti80 Lite, though, since it's much more maneuverable.

But, congrats on the transition to Yonex! You're a better person because of it. :)

PS: Do they give out good discounts at the booths at tourneys?

Comparing Yonex with Wilson is just like comparing Mercedes with Ford.

They use high quality materials, but the design and where they place the materials make it better as well.

Make sure you check in at the Yonex thread with your Vcores.

Everything they make is high quality, I am using everything(shoes, shirts, shorts, over grips) but strings, which I'm about to switch to it as well, I'm currently testing the Poly Tour Pro and I'm very surprised and impressed.

I think everything they make are better than the others IMO, that's why i use and swear by it, :) .

I couldnt agree more with you guys! Coming from the Aeropro Drive GT, there is more control, feel and my serve has improved considerably too!

The Vcore 100s is a nicer hit then the APD GT. More solid and better control.

I prefer the EZONE100 over the VCore 100S.

... and I tried the Poly Tour Pro... just didn't like it. It felt plasticky.

OK, let me say how much I paid. TW mods can delete the number if they want.

    Got this frame + 6 pack bag + Super 850 string + stringing + 2 wristbands + 3 overgrips = $169 (incl tax)

I had to choose between the two, and simply went with the one the guy said was newer. They seemed close in specs, at least in the hurry of the booth scene.

    Wow, that's what I call a deal, I would've bought it too.

Was it only for the VCores or any other would be part of the deal?
