Yonex Vcore 95D vs Head Youtek Prestige Pro

I currently play with a Youtek Prestige Pro and love it. The Yonex Vcore 95D is on my mind as I am a Wawrinka fan and my research shows this racquet is well received. Most ppl say it is too powerful but that can be worked on. Has anyone out there played with both these racquets? If so, thoughts on comparing them both?

I had both and if I had to chose, it would be the 95D. However, the vcore 95D was discontinued after a year; good luck finding one. They're also paint chip monsters.

If I remember correctly, the 95D was more powerful than the prestige pros but I didn't find it to be unwieldy. If I were comparing the same stroke, the prestige pro would land just deep of the service line whereas the 95D would land about 2 feet from the baseline.

Overall, I feel like the Yonex was a better baseline stick and more stable but with less feel. There was a ton of depth and penetration but you won't find that scalpel certainty you'd get with the prestige line. Having said that, I really enjoyed it while hitting a one hand backhand.

Check out the SV95. I think it's Yonex's revitalization although it's more headlight.

I had the YTPP and currently have the 95D. I agree with Ali on the points above but I think the 95D is no slouch when it comes to touch and feels more flexy than the YTPP. YTPP swung faster than 95D but 95D is way more solid; think easy-to-use bludgeon. I haven't tried the SV95, but am more familiar with the 97 330g series and they seem to be a good comparison to the 95D, but maybe has slightly more mass in the throat when I tried them.

Absolutely concur. I should probably preface my touch comment with the universal fact that I have stone hands.
