Yonex VCORE Xi Team Plus made in China??

    Is the new Yonex VCORE Xi Team Plus tennis racquet being made in China? Is this the way Yonex is going from now on? Thanks

    You actually have no way to know. A loophole in the law, reported in the Badminton press about Yonex, indicates that they will send graphite fibers to China to be formed into racquets which are then sent back to Japan to be exported. When a certain percentage of the raw material originates in a country (i.e. Japan), and the finished product is then exported from that country, the product can be labelled as made in that country, i.e. Japan.

    That particular model is Made in China, as are all the cheaper Yonex
    rackets which have the words "Team", "Power" or "Rally" in the model name.
