Just curious what court(s) you guys think is the best. This is in reference to visual appeal and speed from what we can see on TV or if you've been and watched live. For me, I like Ashe, Chatrier, and the Center Courts at Wimbledon and Monte Carlo the best.

Funny, Nadal dislikes Chatrier of all centre courts because the wind keeps turning in the stadium...

"Bullring", Court #1 at Roland-Garros would be my favourite. Too bad they're planning to destroy it. Monte-Carlo venue ain't bad either seen from upward. Rod Laver Arena is pretty cool too. I also like O² Arena, because I like blue that much.

Centre Court at Wimbledon, just for it's history and tradition.
Also, The centre court in Båstad, because it's just beautiful. Basically, they've integrated an entire hotel around the court, with some rooms being wall to wall and huts around court 1. It's very difficult to explain, some aerial shots would probably explain it better, but the blend between old and new, and the incredible views, and THAT SCENERY!!!!!!! Makes it just one of my favorite places to visit.

Queens.. The last of the older faster surfaces. Im tired of watching all these slow as mud courts year round as far as speed is concerned.

Visual wise- the French still looks great

Good choices. Agree with the Monte-Carlo- view is spectacular. O2 Arena is very cool for watching on television. Have to add Centre Court at Wimbeldon for the tradition though.

I love the court at Rome where it's set into the ground and has the sculptures all around it. Monte Carlo is also gorgeous set along the coast, with the sea and rocky hills.

Edited to add Gstaad is also visually appealing with the mountains in the background.

I liked the old look of the Queens court too before they destroyed it with all that harsh blue.

Easily centre court at Morrocco, with the underground court at Rome a close second.

Not my absolute favorite (that's the Wimbledon Center Court for the history alone) but this one is great and deserves a shout-out.

I just don't see how a roof is feasible at all, but I love the court.

That looks absolutely amazing. But like Lukhas said, I don't think you can see anything at all from the top stands. I'd much rather pay to watch on tv than watch the match from there for free..

It stinks on that tennis court. Smells like new York city. new York is dirty and not very clean. I wish they clean up better, make it clean like Chicago or Boston.

This right here. All other submissions lose immediately. A stadium that basically fits more people than residents in the small village it's located in. And 30 feet from the beach and another 30 feet from nightclubs. Only bad part is the half hour walk from the train station.

    1. Monte Carlo - for the sea/mountain backdrop and the decadence of MC.
    2. Rome - for the statues.
    3. Aussie Open - for the blue on blue courts, always been a sucker for this color combination. I also like it because it happens when it's the middle of winter where I live and it's always sweltering hot there.

Just for the home town discount I give it to Arthur Ashe....

But if I was a pro. I'd be puking my face off if I found out I was playing on Centre Court at Wimbledon. The goosebumps probably wouldn't go away until the first point.

The old Year End Championships (WTF) court with the singles lines only ..no doubles alley.

Also loved the look of Queens Club when Stella Artois was the sponsor...all the red looked cool.

The court I loved/loved was the old court number one at Wimbledon. It was attached to centre court and was a special court.

This might sound strange but I've always had a thing for the Grandstand court at the US Open with the corner of (I think) Armstrong hanging over the side of it. It's so claustrophobic. Creates annoying shadows, but whatever.

The Grandstand at the Open has a unique feel and some of the best matches are played there. Too bad they are planning on getting rid of it soon.

    1) Center Court (clear #1)
    2) Rod Laver Arena (at night. If only they sped up the courts)
    3) Arthur Ashe (at night)
    4) Paris Indoors
    5) London O2 arena

    Hon mention: IW, Queens

I see quite a few ppl saying MC but on TV it looks horrible as does Rome. PC is nice though. Slenglen is horrid too.
