How long do your gut hybrids last? With what string? How long do you feel they last compared to an average multifilament? What do you do to keep the gut lasting longer (string savers, coating?)
    Thanks in advance

I just had Klip Screamer Gut & synthetic hybrid 17 and that lasted less than a week. Amazing feel if you don't mind about durability.

Recently tried gut with Luxilon and cannot think many reasons why not use either just on their own.

I'm using klip legend 16 in the crosses with ashaway mongut in the mains. The feel from the gut is great and so far there is very little fraying on the gut. It doesn't even have notches yet.

VS 17 gauge on the mains and ALU Rough on the crosses strung at 26.0 and 24.5 kilograms, respectively. I used to put VS 16 gauge, but after putting on 17, I would never look back because the 17 gauge has a much better resiliency. Both of these hybrids, I think would last me for a month or two with Elasto Crosses. Before that, I used to use Syntronic Brio 16 gauge and ALU(silver or blue) with the same set-up strung at 54 and 51lbs. respectively.

BDE Perf mains with Gosen OG JC (both in 16 gauge). Excellent!
