    What's your set up with this racket? String, tension, lead tape...

    I'm currently experimenting with both strings and lead, Luxilon Original Rough 16 at 55lbs, 2g of lead at 2-10 position and 1g at 12, counterbalanced with some lead under the grip.

    I feel that the slight amount of lead really makes the difference in plow through and power, but in my experience it makes the stringbed less consistency, and also seems to decrease the size of the sweet spot.
    That's something that I've experimented in other rackets too when adding lead.

    So what's are your thoughts on optimizing the performance of this beauty?

    String: Cyclone Tour 16. I'm also currently digging Genesis Typhoon 16 and Luxilon ALU Power Spin 16 right now. Tough call between the 3.

    Tension: 60 pounds on a lockout machine

    Lead Tape: None

    I started with just 2g of lead at 12. I then extended it 3/8". After a while I added a total of 5g at 12. I then I took it back to 27". Then I removed lead. Then I extended again.

    Final setup: no lead, leather grip, extended to 27 3/8, Prince Tour XC 1.35 @ 58 lbs

    Seems that lead tape isn't a good partner with the 100T ESP.

    Extending the frame above 27" could be a good way to increase swing weight without altering the stock beam characteristics.

    I'm curious about how did you extended the racket jonestim. I've two prince pro stock tx141p at 27,5", and I wonder if I could change the pallets, just to experiment it...

    I used the method here:
    http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=308163

    The poster says you can go up to 1/2", but I felt more comfortable with the amount of butt-cap on the pallet only extending it 3/8". I did use super glue instead of the two part epoxy. I also re-stapled the butt cap, and did two wraps of packing tape around the butt cap / pallet junction. It's been quite solid.

    I´m playing with Prince Tour 98 ESP with Prince Tour XS 59,5 main / Prince Tour XP 55 crosses.

    I would like to get more power without loosing control. I´m going to try lead at 3 and 9 o´clock.

    @carlosoki

    I have to tour 98 ESPs customized to sw 330, strung weight 340 and 7 pt HL. TWE did the customization, but iirc there is weight in the handle and under the bumperguard @3 and 9.

    I love them. I've tried cheating with wilson blades, prince warrior 100 esps, my old rebel 95s, but the results don't lie. I am considering getting a pair of tour 100t esps, which leads me to my next question:

    @everyone

    I understand some of you add weight to the handle (by changing to a leathergrip f.inst.), but doesn't this only affect static weight and balance, and not SW?

    I'm am seriously considering getting a couple of 100t esps modded to a higher SW, static weight and HL, so I am not sure what to make of your comments on un-leading the frame.

    I do remember reading that many did prefer the stock version of the savage banana after leading it up, so I am wondering what your prefs. are for SW, weight and HL in a racket?

    Is the 100t esp unique in this sense, or is it a general pref.?

    Thanks!
