I live in Portland and adore it, but alas I am leaving for the frigid ******* come September.

Until then...PNW represent!

Whu--why was "*******" blanked out?

TheShaun 06-19-2007 05:02 PM

i think you were trying to type mid to the west. it will auto blank it because of that other website. but don't bother going to it. it's not as good as TW :) and welcome to the chapter!

Thanks! I plan on it. If my ankle holds up, lots of tennis. Otherwise, lots of beach time.

ATXtennisaddict 06-21-2007 06:48 AM

hey everyone. I live in Austin now but decided to move to Seattle or thereabouts before the end of the year.

Is the weather a factor at all for tennis?

TheShaun 06-21-2007 07:33 AM

i can't speak directly for seattle. but i suppose the weather in vancouver is very similar. maybe it rains more than other places but it's not that bad, imo. not much snow, so if it's a nice clear day, you can play in the winter, just bundle up :)

LuckyR 06-21-2007 10:41 AM

Every club has indoor courts and tennis is probably not as popular as in Texas, so it kind of evens out.

Will it be very expensive then? I checked out Amy Yip (or w/e it's called) prices and it's $20/hr indoors!
