Ball pressurizers
Has anyone tried the 3-ball pressurizes made by Gamma? Do they work?

my dad uses one by another brand but they do help quite a bit. only problem is that after a while the balls really don't have any hair left so they need to be replaced anyhow.

good if you don't play much.

I'm not that sure that they really help as much as they advertise. After all, then why do you open up some old stock of balls (still under pressure) and find that they're a bit soft?

Oh, BTW...I used to use those "tennis ball saver" yellow cans that you have to twist to get the 14 psi into it. The time it took to twist that thing open and closed coupled with the frequency that I changed balls has left the ball saver in the bottom of the closet. If I want my balls to last a bit longer, I just buy the Wilson Double Cores

Tennis ball saver
Loud or anybody else that might know, I just bought one of those "tennis ball savers" the yellow can, do you twist it until you can't twist it anymore, or do you twist it only to the 14 psi line?

thank you,

Twist it all the way to the bottom but don't overtighten or the thing will crack. Also, if you play clay, make sure you don't get grit on the threads.

Looks like alot of work to extend the life of a $3 tin of balls.

PHSTennis 04-13-2004 09:05 AM

3 balls.. I had balls for months they dont die that fast I can barely squeeze it 1/8 its been more than a month no need for pressure tub thing just get a case of balls :) besides would you buy that for every ball? Better off using double cores :P

polo02 04-13-2004 09:55 AM

Yes I need to try the Double cores, how is the feel of the DC balls, do they have the same feel as the Wilson US open balls, are they harder or softer?

PHSTennis 04-13-2004 06:35 PM

They work great, seems the same to me, they take forever to die, I use them for matches and everything ( with friends ). I think they are really hard when they are new like the US Opens, I dont really like the US Open balls, I kind of like the DC better, but PENN has it all...
