pros use pronation and they also contact the ball with their racquet slightly to the side, not straight up from their arm.

as a PTR certified pro who has assisted NCAA coaches since 1995 I know of no other more thorough, basic rudimentary or excellent advice to beginners/intermediate players than that given by Vic Braden. The other coaches seem to forget the basics wheras Braden focuses on them. You can't go from 5.0 to 6.0 without personal instruction. Although lessons will cut the time in half, one can go form total beginner to decent intermediate without any le$$ons..the info is out there. Thank you Mr. Braden!!!

The issue of whether to snap or pronate is dealt with in this youtube video "The Serve: To Snap or Pronate". The video also gives you tips on how to improve your speed and accuracy through the correct use of the wrist.

agree. i learn a lot from online video. The problem is there are a lot of advices and some might contradict to the others so you have to learn selectively and use your common sense.
