Potential player application
 
has anyone entered online applications for DIII schools as potential student athletes?
i just came across it in many DIII athletics website, and i am curious if anyone has ever tried it.

yeah..i think its a good idea. it gets your name out a little to coaches. ive entered to allegheny, case western, carnegie melon, and wesleyan west virginia. im from northwestern pa so im obviously trying to stay somewhat in the area

Do you think these applications are more useful than just e-mailing the coach....or is it better to do both?

Yes and it does work, I've had a coach call me non-stop after I filled out one of those.

Yup, I have, but I haven't really heard back from them (but I'm 99% sure I'm not going there anyway...).

yeah i did. i thought i would just get a brochure in the mail but the coach emailed me saying they dont recruit till the summer before your senior year. and basically that i have no chance getting recruited haha
