MSV copoly recommended tension
Hi,
I hear that MSV recommends a maximum tension of 50-51 pounds for their copoly strings like Focus Hex. I know they say these strings are engineered to play best at low tension, but do you know why? I understand that these strings are in a class of soft, or not-so-stiff, polys, so it's surprising that they would recommend stringing even lower than recommendations given by makers of much stiffer poly strings. Thanks. |
I use MSV Hex and indeed it plays better at lower tensions,I use it at 23kg.
I do not know why but that is the MSV's tension I get the pop in many racquets. I guess it's a problem of how hard you hit the ball that you can stretch the strings to the optimum elasticity. |
